Der Fragebogen (The Questionnaire) (Ernst Von Salomon) From this book we can learn something missing from modern discourse—the complex views of 1930s and 1940s German patriots. Men, as a rule and for very good, and unalterable, biological reasons, don’t like taking orders from women. This will always drive away many top-performing men from a business. What remains will be betas, who will drive away yet more top-performing men, in a vicious cycle, until company failure.

The Concept of the Political. Carl Schmitt’s best-known work is a crucial book for our present moment. The clear-eyed Schmitt, who stands far above any modern political philosopher, writes here of timeless principles that lie behind political action.

Breakfast with the Dirt Cult by Samuel Finlay. Can you recall any book, movie, television show, or any other cultural product that celebrates, honors in any way, or even talks about in other than a contemptuous manner, normal, working- and middle-class, white men (the backbone of America, or BOA)?

Neema Parvini’s The Populist Delusion shows it is always an elite who actually rules. Are we ruled by a virtuous elite who rules for the common good, or by a rotten elite as America is ruled by now. How can elite can be removed and replaced? This latter question is the most important question.

My Advice to the Young • The Worthy House. There is no way back; all that can be done is first destroy our enemies utterly, and then build a new thing, founded both on the wisdom of the past and the needs, and limitations, of the present.

The Religion of the Apostles: Orthodox Christianity in the First Century. Stephen De Young works hard to explode all parts of this myth, explaining that the beliefs and worship of the first Christians were essentially identical to those written down some years later, and were not new at all.

Fitzpatrick's War (Theodore Judson) a prophetic 2004 book has stuck deeply in my mind. Not only does the book echo events that have happened since its publication, it also predicts the broad outlines of the immediate future. The book is an excellent read, and a great way to spend several hours.

Against Counsels of Defeat. Quite a few on the Right fear wokeism and predict its dominance in apocalyptic terms. I am here to preach the opposite; I will explain why wokeism is no special threat, rather a manifestation of the centuries-old scourge of the Left, and a devolved, last-gasp one at that.

After Virtue: A Study in Moral Theory (Alasdair MacIntyre). Published in in 1980, it was perhaps the first modern, sophisticated attack on the foundations of the Enlightenment. It has not lost its power in the past forty years, even though it has been joined by many others.

A review of Industrial Society and Its Future, by no less than Theodore John Kaczynski, the Unabomber himself. "The secondary theme is that leftism is the biggest obstacle to accomplishing this goal, and to human flourishing generally."

Political Theology, by Carl Schmitt. Political Theology contains the essence of Schmitt’s core political theory, decisionism: “[T]he decisionist implements the good law of the correctly recognized political situation by means of a personal decision.”
