One of the important parts of The Great Boycott is finding viable alternatives to bad companies. One of the best alternatives would be products made in your own community. What are some examples of products that can easily be made locally, no matter where you are?

Here's a few ideas to get you started:

• Fruits and vegetables (can be grown locally or even in your backyard)

• Chicken (fairly easy to raise, many people have backyard chicken coops)

• Soap (many people make homemade soaps)

• Wooden furniture

• Pottery (which can include things like mugs, bowls, and tableware)

• Textiles (quilts, blankets, simple knitted garments)

I imagine the toughest products to make locally would be technology-related. Modern clothes would be high up the list as well.
