Here's a case of moderators of "againsthatesubreddits" defending chapotraphouse wishing death upon John McCain, while simultaneously attacking T_D's "hate speech" mocking McCain:

Politicians are exempt from being used as evidence of what we define as a “hatesub,” unless it is their identity as a protected class that is the subject of derision. It’s perfectly reasonable to hate politicians for who they are, real or imagined.

So yes you are verbatim "allowed to hate" as long as you hate in a commissar approved way

Here's a case of them talking about how they track users and coordinate bans, simply by posting/commenting a single time in "hate subs"

Sidenote: the "masstagger" app had a spinoff for Chrome when the site went down called "reddit pro tools"

The masstagger extension used to allow users to modify the targeted lists, but the creator changed that because people "kept tagging porn subs", which likely led them to notice a ton of fanatical obnoxious partisan shills built up karma in porn subs
