Since https://saidit.net/user/CompleteDoubterII wouldn't want this sub now i am doing this even though i'm an algebraic. Analysis / Calculus is the big gun of math which the Greek e.g. never could get quite behind even though at least https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archimedes had supposedly some very good ideas how this one could work. By approximating the area under an arbitrary parabola in the form of f(x)= a-x2, e.g. with polygons. I called it Analysis bc. i'm more on the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Wilhelm_Leibniz side rather than the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Newton side of it.

And since Russians and German-speaking folks are actually most of the gods in this discipline, i think i am just on the right side of it.

IMO, this sub should have been /s/Calculus. Analysis can mean too many other things.

Yeah well, i live on the other side of this wall and had a lot of discussions about it. I had to derive a decision. It's surely not short-circuited.

Edit: Imo, you just can copy-paste it. Nothing i'll post here is a patent. But i will dive deeply into this material since this actually is my world.

No worries. I've made a few poor choices when naming subs. This isn't the worst.

It might be worth repeating the description in your sidebar:

" A sub on mathematical analysis also called Calculus in some regions of our Planet. "

That's something I didn't know. TIL.

It's good to see math here. I respect it even if I don't understand it deeply.
