I finished watching Shugo Chara! Party around a month ago (and thus finished the entire Shugo Chara! anime), and found it to be a huge decline in quality from the previous two seasons. There are many reasons for this.
Firstly, the opening used live-action footage instead of animated. This means real humans were included, which made the opening's visuals far uglier than the previous ones with anime humans. The opening further damaged its visuals by using still pictures for the guardian characters. Their movements look like they were animated by a child using Microsoft Paint! After seeing the opening once, I covered up the part of the screen the show was playing on with something else; such was my desire to not see it.
The actual show significantly reduced the length of the anime, and replaced it with live-action segments and Shugo Chara!! Pucchi Puchi!, as well as other segments. The live-action segments were so childish that one would think they were aimed for preschoolers. Shugo Chara is a children's anime, but the anime was enjoyable for most people nonetheless. For me, and for what I would imagine most people above ten, the main enjoyment of the anime was the humour. The live action segments, from what I watched, hardly had any. Instead the live-action actors would wonder what would happen in the anime segment (known as Shugo Chara! Dokki Doki!) given its synopsis with obvious questions with no real insight (for example, if Amu going to a park was an episode's synopsis, the actors would ask who she would meet and what might happen); an utter waste of time that could be spent actually showing the anime, they would play games together, and other things. I skipped the live-action segments as soon as I saw them, not only for the reasons listed beforehand, but also due to how ugly it was. The actual show at some point also included an encyclopedia segment, called Shugo Chara! Encyclopedia!, which introduces characters that the viewers watched for two seasons; also an utter waste of time telling the viewers what they almost certainly already knew. To be fair, some of the Shugo Chara! Pucchi Puchi! segments were rather funny and came close to the show's previous high quality, especially the Bomber skits, as was the anime. But the fact that they weren't all of the show's runtime means the overall show's quality was lower than the previous two seasons'.
If one is going to watch the show, I would recommend watching only the Shugo Chara! Pucchi Puchi! segments and the Shugo Chara! Dokki Doki! segment.
