The Chinese are like the bugs in the Starship Troopers movie. I confess I haven't read the book, I hear it has important differences. They aren't going to stop. There's just going to be more of them. They're getting more technically sophisticated. It's not going to be a better time to smash their globalist ambitions tomorrow. One day it'll be too late though.

I agree with a lot of what you say about the right, but who cares why. China needs to be opposed.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I hate our own myopia and hypocrisy on the subject of "global ambitions".

We're not even sure how to run our own country, but we're certain about how everyone else should run theirs.

I read an article the other day about China thinking about establishing a naval base on the African west coast. Oh noes! A single Chinese naval base only a thousand miles from the US!!! What kind of country would do such a thing?!?!?!

We have literally over 50 military bases all over the planet. We still have a massive air force base in northern Greenland, just in case the Soviets think of invading. The extreme cold makes it extremely expensive to run and resupply. Several of our other bases are nearly within eyeshot of the Chinese mainland.

But we're using our military power for good? Right? That's why everyone loves us, right?

Please avoid name calling, it's against site wide rules.

know nothing bigot

China just disappeared a world famous Tennis player because she dared mention a party boss raped her. You want your women passed around by the politburo before your wedding night in feudal age fashion?

This is entirely too much like the beginning of WW2. Capitulation to expansionism is just going to bite us in the ass.

Oh, the hypocrisy of one of the site's most consistent rule violators saying that.

I'm pretty sure I hardly ever break the rules, I don't even make the list for the top 10 most reported users here.

Xi's China are the xenomorphs. American globalists and neocons are the Weyland-Yutani Company.

One is your enemy, the other was created by your enemy.

Sure, good analogy. So obviously, we side with the greedy humans instead of the aliens with acid blood.

That's about the extent of their critique. China is a freer country, more decentralized, and has less brainwashed people than the USA. While certainly not perfect from my libertarian point of view they're basically superior in every way. These sinophobes have never been to China, most of them are illiterate, and they are studiously ignorant of their own country's shitty culture and war mongering. Americans normies are most tedious people I've ever met.

I left the USA years ago and no amount of money would ever persuade me to return to that dumpster fire. I am antiwar, but if everyone ganged up and nuked the shit out of them I wouldn't feel bad for anyone except for the handful of libertarians who know better than to believe the news.

You are doing a fantastic job of getting your message out there and this is absolutely the right place to voice it. And the way you are changing minds here is genius. Before you know it, you'll be the most loved and respected user on this site. Keep up the good work, fellow Saiditor!

I agree with your second paragraph, but not the rest of what you note. And China is certainly not "a freer country, more decentralized, and has less brainwashed people than the USA". Everything about that statement is the opposite. But you are right that many in the US, "seem completely unwilling to do any research, be critical of narratives at all, or look into contrary evidence. They swallow nonstop asinine propaganda...."

To answer your question:

The problem is that Republicans are playing politics when they criticize China, whereas they will do anything China wants, mainly because it's so profitable. This is how it works:

Republicans know that their voters are suffering because so many of their jobs have gone to China (since the 80s), so much of their shitty lives are due to the 1% not investing in the US, and instead investing in cheaper labor in China. So Republicans like to go on record saying bad things about China, while they and the 1% invest ONLY in cheap labor Chinese products. Regarding Trump, see that he helped destroy an important market for soy when he reduced the trade of it to China, while giving farmers taxayer subsidies, which gave Russians the opportunity to sell soybeans to China. And now that aspect of US soy sales is dead. Note also that the Trump crime family made significant deals with China while he was president, one noteworthy example of which is the attraction of a $300 million investment in a Kushner real estate deal (one of many), while the J Kushner borrowed $800 million for similar apartments, backed by taxpayer money (hence he doen't have to pay it). He has for many years worked with Chinese and Qatari investors, among many others, and supposedly used his security clearance to give intel to China. His example is merely one of many that show how Repuglicans are working with the Chinese and other rich investors. Another example is the role of Elaine Chao (Mitch McConnell's wife, and former Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Transportation) used her connections to develop her family's shipping company. There are some Democrats who also benefit from cheap labor and insider corruption on the Hill, but the Republican abuses, especially in the past 20 years, have been the most obvious. They want to continue deregulating these abouses. But they will remnind voters of China's human rights violations. Think also of the coverup of the specific information about the SARS origin in China 2 or 3 times since 2004. China is also a leading polluter and will continue to contribute to climate change, even when all countries - except India - are trying to reduce the impact of carbon emissions. China is also responsible for other abuses in African projects, and continues to threaten everyone in the South China Sea and Taiwan. Politicians who want to line their pockets, rather than do their jobs, will not really challenge China on anything, though they will want to appear as if they do.

Yeah I actually read a shit load about China AND LIVE HERE, where I moved from AMERICA, and what I said is true. Go read the Mises Institute. Their cops are lazy, they don't enforce IP laws, the regulations are far lower, people aren't obsessively politicized by democracy and media shit. Their government has a far lower budget and three times the fucking people. You're just so used to America and so ignorant of China you believe Cold War memes. You can start a business in China with no paperwork and probably won't have to pay taxes. They're not anarchists, duh, and their government is authoritarian, but democracy is worse, so whatever. Stop being a normie who believes the narrative shit about America being exceptional.

Climate change is bullshit and a scam.

[–]tyranicaloverlord 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

They also seem completely unwilling to do any research

Ironic.

Don't trust China, China is asshoe.

Our policies since the 80s coming from the left have pushed everything in refining and manufacturing to China. That's our biggest problem with China, they control 90% of our retail industry. The right have done nothing about it because they also represent big corp. The government as a whole, both left and right created this behemoth.

Either way, I have no idea what your point is other than to attempt to rag on everyone as if you have all the answers and understand fully the paradox that is China.

I don't think you know shit about China, much like most Americans. China is a threat to the WORLD, not just the US. They are a tsunami that will either overrun the free world or implode. Imploding doesn't look feasible at this moment.

[–]Prathet[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Who the fuck said anything about trusting China. I'm a fucking anarchist. The point is to use critical thinking skills. And the US government is far worse, especially since you lived here. The USA has shitty laws that ruin domestic manufacturing and China doesn't. You're a fucking cultist moron and your opinions are useless.

[–]tyranicaloverlord 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You're a fucking cultist moron and your opinions are useless.

Yeah, which is also a place that kills far fewer people than the USA but normie Republicans live in a fact free universe where the largest and most aggressive government in history with totalitarian media collusion is somehow free.

[–]RandumbZer0 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Because China is trying to take down both sides & baiting their Politico followers with nonsense most of them are seemingly eating up & they're too stupid to see it, which is why they bother with Politics to begin with.

They actually think one side is better or more legit than the other when their both crooks & in cahoots behind closed doors, regardless of which Red or Blue 'Gang Colors' they happen to fly publicly.

[–]Prathet[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Americans are so ignorant of the world, including how US politics really work, that I have basically stopped caring what happens to them. They're not just dumb and oblivious, they're wildly opinionated about shit they know nothing about. As you can tell by some of the low IQ QTard replies this got, they are not interested in factual discussion or learning. They have a cult narrative.

I have never met anyone but Muslim fanatics that are as culty and fact free as the Normie Republicans and Democrats.

[–]BravoVictor 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The neo-con right has always used external threats to persuade people into foreign wars. Since we're technically a republic, the leaders have to at least pretend to convince the people to go to war.

Trump was an interesting case, because while he certainly used external threats as a rallying cry, he didn't use it to foment war. In fact, he was the only President in my life time to not start a new war under his watch. Even Obama didn't manage that. Plus, Trump focused on a lot of domestic threats, which neither Democrats nor Republicans do too much, for fear of offending some potential consitutent.

Now that China is objectively the world's rising superpower, while the US rots from the inside, the neo-cons are hoping to use China again as a scapegoat to rally the public around a common threat. Plus, I'm sure there's plenty of conservatives who, out of tradition, still kneejerk want to go to war with anyone. They were raised on movies showing the US going to war in Europe and Korea and Vietnam to fight the bad guys, and since everyone thinks they're the good guys, we have to act some foreign country.

But I agree with most of your summary. Whether or not you think China is a threat is irrelevant because the biggest problems in the US aren't external but our own moral and social corruption. China wasn't forcing Americans to set their own cities on fire last year. China isn't telling American kids to cut their dicks off or to not have families. We're doing that to ourselves, and berating anyone who suggests this might be a big problem.

[–]Prathet[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Clear evidence of your post is all the fucking retard replies this got. I don't know about you, but I'm fucking sick of boot licking Trumptard imperialist swine pretending to be libertarians. These people should be brigaded or of any libertarian space. If these cunts are retarded enough to think China is more of a threat to them than the US government they've lost the right to have opinions.

[–]Chipit 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Really? It's more neoliberals and neoconservatives that are all up about China. The average right winger doesn't give a shit about Taiwan or the South China Sea and would prefer to move production back to America.
