Gas prices in the U.S. could rise in the short term.
Yeah...because we're enacting "sanctions" against them, i.e. We're refusing to buy, or allow any of our allies to buy, gas from Russia. That's not going to hurt Russia. A lot of other people will still buy from them, and at higher prices thanks to us.
If we hadn't helped overthrow the Ukrainian government and turned it into a US puppet state, pressuring it to join NATO, and become an existential threat to Russia, we wouldn't be in this mess and a lot of Ukrainians wouldn't be dead.
