Firefox is both faster and more secure. It's extensions are also more rigorously vetted.

Bromite. Botnet free, good adblock and can have darkmode. Also faster than firefozzled

Is there much of a difference between Bromite and Brave?

Less bloat, just pure chromium degoogled

I've seen a lot about it but haven't ever found it in the play store.

Chromium browser. No Google, and I feel it is a good browser with no nonsense.

So Firefox should be used I guess?

    Fennec from F-droid

Thanks. I like FF on desktop but for mobile it's just not my cup of tea.

edit - Thought FF was a reference to Firefox. I'll have to read up on Fennec from F-Droid. Thanks!

In regards to speed, what are you comparing it to?

Just an observation but you might be setting yourself up for some vulnerability issues.

I wish I could say I've had the same experience. I too used chrome for years but did not find Firefox to be an acceptable replacement. On my P3XL it's just so much slower and I hate how you can't dark mode the menus and toolbar. But alas. I've been running another Chromium variation (Brave) with pleasant results so far.

Bromite. Fast, just freezing from time to time ... And there is no K-Meleon for Android version available ...

          Update: moved to Ungoogled Chromium.

I saw that and am on the fence about giving it a test drive.

used to be firefox but it forces me to update to the new version which is dog shit and then i have to manually revert it which is a massive pain in the arse to do so often and there's no way to stop it automatically updating so i'm looking for one that does the things that the previous version of firefox does
