I just made a new reddit user name. And without using it once, I have been banned permanently.

Anything to stop the blue haired psychos is fine with me.

Almost same exact thing happened to me on Twitter. Made an account no problem but as soon as I hit the follow button for the first time which happened to be the Libs of TikTok account I instantly got a message that said suspicious activity from my account and they wanted my phone number for some reason. I sent a message asking what the suspicious activity was since I literally just signed up and got no reply they just banned my account.

The censorship is a much larger problem than we realize. They block us Al, and they block discussion of the blocking.

I believe we will have a true idea some time after this purchase.

I just find it interesting why they don’t realize that having your own space where only speech you like is allowed is not a good thing. Like I know throughout my life some opinions I had were wrong and it took talking with someone who had differing views to show me that. They have to know their beliefs won’t stand up to scrutiny or else why would they fight so hard against true free speech.

They don't care if they are wrong or not. To them it is about power.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

It’s about controlling the narrative. All is good, all is happy, all is well. They are the pied pipper walking us off a cliff. And it’s too late.

Don't be a doomer. Society may fall but you can build something new from the ashes

Thank you for the positive outlook.

Stock up on ammo.

You are welcome and your comment made me happier.

The propagandists know they are full of shit. By censoring everyone who tries to expose them they can more easily manipulate the gullible.

[–]samhyde[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

that happened to me too bro

[–]BravoVictor 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I doubt that. Reddit doesn't ban new users with no activity. That wouldn't make any sense, even for lefty nutcases.

Unless you were just banned previously for violating their woke bullshit, and then made the additional mistake of creating a new account from the same IP. Then yeah, that would explain it.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I was not just banned. I have been banned before. I literally made it to lurk and message people I want to talk to. I made it, didn’t think about it because I don’t normally use Reddit, went to bed, and woke up to a ban.

Yeah, then they're tracking your IP to preemptively stop you from evading the previous ban.

Remember, the left are Satanists. They do not forget and they do not forgive.

I dont expect too much from this. For example, they might easily use the money to create a new platform as anti-free-speech competitor to the new twitter. Also the US government might come down hard on him abusing the courts. They already started their lawfare campaign against him.

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

If only he had unlimited money to defend himself with...

[–]Feldheld 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

No amount of money will help him against a political judge / jury. They will throw everything and the kitchen sink against him. They cannot afford to let him win because they know their complete building of lies, fakery, and intimidation will collapse.

With the pile of cash he has, I wouldn't be surprised if he buys an island, Starlinks it up, declares it the Republic of Twitter, and tells the government to go fuck itself.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Better than the board that existed previously consisting of BlackRock, Vanguard and various other evildoers. Elon is definitely an improvement over them. Personally idgaf about twitter, but I don't like how people skeptical of propaganda are silenced on that platform, leading to more people being brainwashed in their echo chamber.

However, I don't think counting on benevolent billionaire dictators is a great habit either, even if this one if preferrable to the others. Would rather see people demand a decentralized solution

idk, he has a funny last name though

musk

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Don't say that to /u/AmericanMuskrat.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, what a freak.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

He was forced to.

[–]at_finn 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

don't care...good for him

[–]jet199 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I care about it about as much as I care about a billionaire taking over any other company.

[–]Entangled 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

How edgy......smh

[–]jet199 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Seriously though, who cared when it was owned by a load of Saudis?

[–]hfxB0oyA 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If it was, they might figure out a chainsaw option for anyone who disagreed with them.

[–]filbs111 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Good. Will be interesting to see how far "just build your own" goes. I hear Android/Apples are threatening to remove the Twitter application from their walled gardens. Then there's payment providers - he has some history here. And perhaps "build your own country" can be skipped and we will go straight to Mars. I'll go.

[–]Dr_Bukkake 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It is possible for them to build their own since they won’t have the big tech and financial companies against them and shutting them down.

[–]filbs111 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I mean, Musk is building/buying his own, and appears to have big tech, financial gatekeepers, the media, the deep state etc as adversaries.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Elon is a front for the deep state, so... Yeah. With the EU already threatening to ban Twitter for "too lax moderation" and other things, even if Elon keeps up the "good guy" act, there's only so much he can do that way.

IF twitter truly becomes free speech, then it will be heavily used to monitor the masses' opinions and views, and Big Brother will get even fatter with data.

It seems to me that this is leading the Overton window shift to the Right and perhaps a little away from totalitarianism - along with Disney claiming no more woke media (whether they do or not), among other things.

This also paves the way for Trump and DeSantis to take back the White House. Folks will celebrate and fight about it for years, and just like with Obama, few will notice how much we will get screwed by them until long after he's left the office.

During the resurgence of the Right and Voluntaryists on Twitter, folks will abandon the atrophying alt-media which NEEDS more support than ever during this extreme inflation period.

[–]Drewski 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Fairly neutral, I wasn't on twitter before and I'm not going to join now. Musk is kinda like Trump to me; he says some things I agree with, some things I disagree with, he gets people riled up which is entertaining, but at the end of the day he is still a part of the club. He may make some statements in support of free speech, but I don't see any drastic policy changes at twitter in that direction.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think it's awesome. Bill Gates just donates to raping children in Africa, about time a billionaire donations/purchases something for a good cause for once.

[–]Pixietree 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Personally I couldn't care less and I'm sick of hearing about it. It's good that there is potentially more free speech on a mainstream platform and its kinda funny to see some sheeple breakdown over it. But something feels off. ....

I guess he is better than Vanguard and Saudi's that previously owned it, but I can't trust a guy that wants to put computer chips in everyone's brain. Lesser of two evil is still evil. It just fuel for the stupid culture wars and at the end of the day I don't really care. Never have and never will use Twitter.
