Factorio. You ain't "trapped" in Factorio. Not with the mod selection I play it with.

You run in any direction and there always are new areas to explore. This is the nature of this game.

Once you got the rocket, you just take all the stuff you want or can use, reset research and start from scratch.

Fucked though maybe. This depends a lot on alien evolution and where their nests are sitting when you are starting.

It is always doable from my experience anyway.

There is an old save game of mine with over 2000 hours of gameplay that was migrated over four or five planets and a plethora of patches.

With Bobs-, Angels and Clowns mods I need about 80-90 hours nowadays to build a new rocket, if the patch changes didn't change the production-chains too much.

Dead cells, so I have no hope. I'll either be executed, killed by some monstrosity, or catch the malaise and turn into a monster myself. Best case scenario I turn into some kind of creature that's still sentient and live in a dungeon selling weapons or food to the same decapitated guy again and again and again.
