It's a real thing, that the net is shrinking.

Much of the fun stuff has vanished, or not linked by google which is effectively the same thing, because with no traffic a site will fade away

Was there ever?

It does seem like there should be more. The power of the internet to allow people to organize should have lead to an explosion of social interest groups. But they are conspicuously sparse.

I would suggest tik tok. Or finding a local hacker space. Then there are online college courses you can take, or just watch some lectures.

For me? No. After reddit banned me, everything is just so boring or political
