The colors of opinions, I get.
Certain people I like, certain people I don't like. Like "most of the time" moving in a certain rhythm.
The "rest" of the "world" hates. Doing this one with "grace and gratitude" at the same time.
This is some last resort of pure freedom that still exists.
Hitting your personal trolls twice with one blow.
I could go on.

I don't always know how to reply, but it's nice to hear people's responses. I have my own things I like about saidit but I don't know what it is others like, and I wanted to know better so I can respect that and appreciate that too. When it's similar to what I like and when it's not.

Most of the time (waaaayyyy more often than Reddit or other platforms) I can enjoy a healthy discussion with someone who isn't a raving lunatic. Even if we differ in our opinions, we can still have that discussion. Long time ago, Reddit was that place. At first, but it quickly descended into a hivemind echo chamber. Now, you'd have to weed through a morass of kneejerk narrative defenders if you disagree with the slightest thing in their narrative. Not so much here. Dissent is one of the most important elements of discussions and this is the only place I see a healthy dose of it.

That makes sense, and is nice for me to recognize too. I hadn't really thought about it that way but it makes sense.

well a good inspiration is always good? the people who've started their own platforms make me feel more like I could do it myself if I decided it was important.

The degenerates that run this site are beyond any level of perversion and corruption that I have experienced elsewhere.
