Curious about owners of Saidit how do they make any money from this website?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't make money and /u/magnora7 just pays the hosting costs out of pocket.

User donations pay for about half these days. A couple years ago user donations were covering 100%, maybe someday we could get back to that. Total costs are only $110/mo, thankfully we priced it low as possible with longevity in mind.

How much traffic per month? Is your bandwidth metered?

Not metered, cost is fixed but we can upgrade at any time. About a quarter million pageloads a month

It does not make money, thoughtcriminal is correct that magnora just pays the hosting, its something like $80/month according to the admins

No data is sold or retained for future sale. I would never do that, that's the opposite of what saidit is for. Saidit is here for communication, not profit.
