Just listening to a podcast about the Chilean coup and they couldn't find one good thing about Pinochet. I thought this was odd as usually they can pull something out about everyone. I also think this is a very western liberal position as people in South America are much more split on the man.
I remember when I was in Peru a woman told me "everyone here will tell you the capitalist coup was very bad but everyone here also wants to move to Chile because the economy is so much better than every county which didn't have a capitalist coup."
Just wondering if anyone has any more insight into this.
