Why dont website links open automatic in a new ehh website(tab?sory im not English)

when you press a link that some1 posted you go to that site on the same page,why dosnt it opens in a separate tab?(like on reddit).sometimes when i finished on the link website i press"X"(because i forget)and have to go to Saidit/log in again

eh,oke i just realize that i can open the links in a new Tab,sory bout that i keep forgetting thats possible,im not so computer nerd
