It could be a purge of the CIA old guard. The Bush-Clinton-Obama CIA that runs the drug trade.

Trump may be cleaning house, and those managing the operations may not in a position to bail out their coconspirators/minions...

This is pure speculation...

Probably not.

Yeah, I've noticed too.

It seems likely that some sort of high level network has been cracked, allowing police to bust the major hauls.

A sweet dream would be the CIA's drug smuggling network being pryed apart. 😌

Is it possible these are coincidences?

Can someone who has studied the drug trade in detail provide their view?

Actually, I said drug seizures, what meant was "coke seizures". I guess that is some evidence against the coincidence theory.

These things always seem to come in waves. My guess would be information is gathered and then it's moved on quickly then the distributors catch wind and adjust.

One of the articles posted on here in the last couple days mentioned that only 6% of known drug shipments are successfully interdicted.

That sounds insanely low but it would also lend credence to my totally wild guess that the busts come in waves and are at least semi-coordinated from a high level.

Better surviellance?

Infighting of drug dealers.

Maybe too much supply driving the price down? Someone new trying to get in the game being squeezed?
