When researching claims, it is important to make sure they are documented, or that there is ample evidence for them. Making sure something is documented often means going the the mainstream media or looking at official government records.
However, the mainstream media lies, and I'm not too sure what exactly to trust. For example, they lied about Trump ordering an attack on Iran, which was confirmed by Donald Trump in an interview. However, according to Reuters, "We are studying the U.S. proposal on Gulf escort arrangements" is something the Chinese Embassy texted. I cannot find this anywhere in the Chinese-US Embassy, yet I do not see this being questioned by the alternative media. Even if I did, the alternative media, being made of ordinary citizens, can just make things up, like lizard people. My question is, what claims does the mainstream media actually document (as in, what in the mainstream media will always be verified facts), and what does it just interpret and investigate?
Thank you for the help.
