Women's Role
submitted 4 years ago by WooWhoVintage from self.Barefootandpregnant
In most marriages, most household responsibilities fall on the wife's shoulders, including cooking and cleaning. However, many women dislike this aspect of their marriage and feel angry about taking on all of the household responsibilities.

I think some of it has to do with not being taught how to manage a household.

I’m big on 50/50 and equal responsibilities. I think a lot of women, especially working women like myself get angry because we shouldn’t have to be 100% responsible for the household, childcare, and managing of lives when we ourselves are also working. Like we are tired, I’m about to possibly start my 2nd job, so no I don’t want to be 100% responsible for everything because I can’t handle it all. That and men don’t often think of the fact that we also need breaks.
If I were still a SAHM, I’d take those responsibilities on because I’m at home, but when I’m also working, my husband can help me around at home and with our child.
