Ugh yeah I can't stand the oppression competitions. In life there's always going to be someone who has things worse than you, it's not a contest. It's better to just try to make things better for everyone rather than having the whole crabs-in-a-bucket mentality and fighting over who has it worse, especially when they're just coming up with dubious reasons to justify their hierarchy

For sure!

I think as the B we should focus on addressing bisexual issues without bringing somebody else down, whether that be the L or the G, and even the heterosexuals.

I'm hoping that people see us as no different than them and do not treat our sexuality as some sort of "special trait" when really it's just...a small part of us. I mean, sure,we like males and females but other than that? There's really nothing else to it. No "bisexual culture" with stupid finger guns or lemon bars. It's just...a regular trait, nothing hyper special.

It just sucks that even within our own bisexual group, it's been split off to "pansexual", "biromantic", "demisexual", "polysexual", and "omnisexual" which causes unnecessarily "bisexual civil wars" when really we're all the same but basically different political views---with "bisexuality" not being a political identity like the others I listed off.

Edit: word

Sorry to necro this post, but this forum is dead. "Straight passing privilege" means that a bi person can "pass" as straight when in a het relationship.
