I'll be baking beef stew inside of a pumpkin soon, which I successfully did last year. I still haven't figured out how to serve it to where everyone gets a good bit of pumpkin but you don't puncture the pumpkin and leak stew onto the platter.

How bad did it get? Was the stew everywhere or were you able to salvage it?

It just leaked into an unattractive little puddle on the platter and deflated the pumpkin a little. Stew is thick so it was just broth that leaked out.

It was my Show Stoppah, though, so I'm aiming for total perfection this time.
