Rule (1) states: The definition of bisexual is attraction to both sexes. Attempts to change this will not be tolerated.
Rule (2) states: Respect civil discussion. Language such as biphobia and sexism will not be tolerated.
This sub is meant to be a safe and supportive space for bisexuals to form a community to represent our needs. Many LGB(T) spaces shame us for who and how we experience attraction, but here, we can be ourselves.
Bisexuals are a unique and legitimate sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is not defined by gender roles or expression, personal identity, relationship or lack there-of, or power plays or politics. We are NOT homosexuals with an inkling towards the opposite sex, and we are NOT heterosexuals with an inkling towards the same sex. Our sexuality is not a weapon aimed towards lesbians or gay men, and while we are family, we are not defined by their views or needs.
Lately, there have been attempts to redefine us, suppress our experiences, and stir up controversy under the guise of "questioning". That's not allowed. This is not a debate sub, and it's not a public square for airing out personal grievances against other users.
Any further attempts to change the purpose of this space and/or erase bisexuality will be met with permanent banning.
