There exists a genetic and genealogical record of everyone on the planet. Or as close to as a perfect record as possible. And as our knowledge of DNA increases we may be able to fill in the gaps. This means at some point in the future we may have a complete DNA record of everyone currently existing and everyone who have existed at one time. In the future, replicators and nanotechnology will allow us to manipulate atoms at will. We will be able to recreate anyone's DNA, and therefore anyone's body, in it's perfect form, sans genetic defects, or bodily injuries during life, of anyone who has ever existed.
But what about the soul? Your consciousness consists of your memories and personality. In the age of internet, everyone's personal data, text messages, personal experiences, are uploaded to the cloud. That means, essentially, there exists, a not quite perfect copy of you, forever embedded in the cloud. While, it may not be perfect, it's pretty darn accurate, as advertisers use this data to predict how you will behave, even knowing if you are pregnant before you do.
This implies, anyone who dies during the information age, may be revived at some point in the future. As their body could be recreated, and their virtual copy downloaded into their future body.
