If you look at the Marvel How to Draw books, or Curt Swan's How to Draw Superman, you'll see that from a side profile with the head straight most of the male characters have a straight line from the tip of the nose to the prominence of the jaw: their nose and jaw are the same length.
I've seen plenty of people with big jaws, but to create this effect (without looking like a cave man suffering from gigantism) you need to have a very steep, fairly small nose. They're usually narrow, with small nostrils, always turned slightly down, but with a long bridge that's nearly ruler straight.
People often bring up the big jaw, occasionally the cheek bones, but I think a nose like that is very rare, especially combined with such large jaw and cheeks: usually, prominent facial bones run in packs. That nose is most common on white women, white men tend to have a bit more prominence or width to their nose. Superman has an unusual mix of masculine and feminine facial features, as do many classic WASP superheroes.
Who had the best squinty little eyes? Dean Cain Tanaka?
