Costa Ricans are spineless morons. Many people from the tropics are like this, but I hadn't before seen what happens when such people are subject to globalist insanity. But actually you can see by comparing regulations with mask use. Even though regulations in Costa Rica are mild by international standards, the spineless morons there follow these regulations to the letter. And when they see me ignoring the regulations, they are horrified. Cameras are everywhere and people live in fear of the cameras. Even in a third world grocery store in some small town, they limit people in the store, make everyone wear masks, and require rubbing chemical sludge on one's hands before entering.

There are a few useful things I learned. One is that the further one gets from population centers, the freer things are. I visited an Orthodox church that was miles down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. There there was freedom and even though most people still had masks on, I could enter a store without a mask.

Of course the biggest thing I learned is that the quality of the people is much more important than the actual regulations. Mexicans are also morons but many Mexicans aren't spineless. Mexicans have no respect for the government and many will do whatever they can get away with. And Mexicans are capable of violence, which I consider a good thing.

The land in Costa Rica is nice, but actually the land west of Xalapa, Mexico is quite similar. So if you are looking for a physical paradise, I suggest west of Xalapa.

What I am looking for is reasonable people not directly under the thumb of globalist tyrants. The next place I will look is the area west of Chihuahua City. This is populated by Mennonites and Mormons and other such religious groups. I tried calling a few and the one that answered spoke German, barely any Spanish, and no English. (I speak English and Spanish, but no German.) I will research this area over the next few weeks and then visit.
