Some of the typical super sweet foods don't really strike me as great breakfast foods, that sugar energy is so fleeting. I do like them sometimes, just usually not for breakfast.

Crepes are a personal favorite, and they seem so damn fancy to people who don't know they're easy except you have to stand over the stove cooking them,

That's a tasty-looking burger! I like the sear on the patty, caramelized onions and perfectly toasted buns. Great job!

That is exactly what I was thinking. Hilarious! I think Optimus chose his wording purposefully.

Blasphemy! Just kidding. I, too, can eat anything for "breakfast". A big salad is great first thing in the morning.

I do love a good salad. I like to keep several romaine hearts on hand. Costs about the same as a head of romaine but it's more the crunchier good stuff I like. They last a surprisingly long time.

I'd like to invite everyone to share their meals at s/cooking. It doesn't have to be a culinary masterpiece, mine certainly aren't. I just like to see what people are eating and it gives me meal ideas. I know photographing your food is dangerously hipster territory, but here you can show both your food choices and rail against whatever minority of choice you feel is keeping you down today.

Yo u/Jesus, come share your wine with us and tell us more about these Zionist oppressors.

I'm not okay with a bunch of Zionists demolishing innocent people and grinding them into dust on 9/11 but when I am grinding something, it's always grass fed.

I try to have chicken noodle soup for breakfast most days, as its bland enough to be easy on my old weak stomach, and probably more healthy than the standard breakfast fare....but if you can handle beef...whatever works!

I feel for you, I had IBS and I'd be sick most mornings. About the only thing that helped was a warm beer in the morning. I suspect years of doctors overzealously prescribing antibiotics had ruined my intestinal flora but I don't know for sure.

It eventually stopped. Making fermented foods might have helped, that's the only way to be sure you're taking an active culture of probiotics.

Thanks. For me it's GERD mostly, and IBS-D should I be naughty and forget a dose of Nexium...which is easy to do. Then it's Donnatal, which repels the IBS-D til I screw up, and skip another dose of Nexium. It ain't so bad. At my age something is going to go wrong, and this is probably about the least that could. Yeah, increasing my intake of Bubbies pickles, sauerkraut, Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar, etc., has reduced my Nexium from 40mg to 20mg, so that sorta works.
