Before bird flu, it was bird herpes. This has been going back like 40 years. If you look at the amount of chickens culled per ear over the last 20+ years, you'll realize we only have about 5-10 years left to each chicken or chicken eggs. Fun fact, bird flu is mostly spread by wild birds, who are carriers but immune. Despite this, I think irresponsible industrial farming is to blame. That and covering most of the world and animal habitat with concrete.
