I voted for Biden because I felt like he was the lesser evil. My state is blue anyway so it doesn’t really matter. 🤷‍♀️

At least he’s not misogynist the way Trump is.

Biden's not great, but Trump is quite simply irredeemable. I'm happy about his win even though I'm worried about the Equality Act.

I think it may be impossible to do the Equality Act if Democrats don’t have the Senate.

That's my impression. But Democrats could take the Senate if they win the Georgia runoffs in January.

I voted the rest of the ballot, but didn't choose Trump or Biden. My state was going red anyway, so it's not like my lack of a vote affected anything. I just couldn't justify making an affirmative choice for Biden, even though I'm hoping he'll win because Trump is a nightmare.

I live in a deep red state too and did the same thing.

Minuses of american voting system in one sentence.

Pretty much.

If I was in a swing state, it would have been a harder decision.

Non-American opinion... it seems like it's a vote for a return to sanity. While I don't like Biden's views on gender I think he's much better as far as foreign policy and race relations and just overall mental stability. Trump continues to show contempt for democracy even in his reaction to the results and that is dangerous in itself. One can only hope the Democrats can be reasoned with on the gender issue and don't end up like our Canadian Liberals.

Trump is a literal fascist. Biden sucks but at least he’s just a corporatist with at least a pretense of appreciating human rights. I do not think I would have survived four more years of Trump so I’m quite cautiously relieved.

Totally agree. I can't believe the race was so close, with Trump being such a deplorable human being. Any other Republican, I could understand.

Didn't vote, my state was rigged for Biden anyway. Trump is an idiot, but at least he's incompetent, I'm worried Biden will fuel random "progressive" hysteria (like transitioning) even further. Most of what I saw coming from both sides this season felt more like propaganda than usual.

Oh it did. And most everyone acts like people who vote for the other candidate than they support are evil, like nah - 90% of us are voting for who they think is the lesser evil. My lib friends will probably be pissed if they ever find out that I voted 3rd party (even though we live in a red state anyways).

I voted for Biden, even though I live in a red state. At first, I was honestly scared Trump was going to win, but was soooo relieved wen Biden won. I am also no longer scared that Trump is going to through a coup. I just hope that Biden will actually be a good president.

I'm also relieved. I'm still concerned Trump might do something crazy, but he really can't do anything about the election results without attempting to take down our entire democracy. Even if he is that crazy, the rest of the country isn't.

Considering more and more Republicans are telling Trump to shut the hell up and let Biden be pres in peace; his supporters think he is going to somehow prevail is a pipedream.
