Re their beliefs in general: I don’t think they actually believe a lot of their claims. I think they just really really really really want/need to believe them.
Like I think it’s more of an inability to accept reality than actually believing what they claim.

There’s just too many cracks and holes for me to believe that anyone can genuinely believe the shit qt claims.

The posts here (and The old Reddit sub) make it clear to me that qt will say whatever pops into their head at the moment to justify their desires/attempt to bolster their claims. Even if what they say recently contradicts something else they said in the past.

People who believe what they stand for don’t do that.

For GC: what do you think leads someone to becoming QT or a TRA?

Mental illness, social media influence on vulnerable people, a longing for acceptance/community, a need to be special, hive mentality

Do you think QTers/TRAs are always homophobic/misogynistic?

I think qt/tras are more homophobic and misogynistic than pretty much any other demographic I can think of, even if I include religious zealots and violent dangerous men who have nothing to do with qt. Other communities absolutely have the presence of homophobia and misogyny, but they are prerequisites for qt/tras.

Queer Theory seems to be mostly social contagion. It's spreading like a religious belief system, which is unsurprising, because that is essentially what queer theory is. They even have splintering belief groups: transmeds vs tucutes. When you disconnect from objective reality it's really hard to keep your story straight and splintering into different variations of queer theory over time is inevitable. Ex. Mormon Religious belief split

For GC: what do you think leads someone to becoming QT or a TRA?

Socialization.

Do you think QTers/TRAs are always homophobic/misogynistic?

Yes. Describing womanhood as an identity, supporting the destruction of sex segregated spaces, attacking women who disagree and thinking sexual orientation is based on "gender" (whatever they describe it as) is sexist and homophobic by default.

what do you think leads someone to becoming QT or a TRA?

Sincere belief in gender roles as meaningful and truly sexed.

That or the new Christian idea of a soul but jazzed up with sexism instead of jesus. Strip away the accessories and it’s all belief in a fundamental soul that inhabits a body.

Do you think QTers/TRAs are always homophobic/misogynistic?

Yes. It’s inherently homophobic or misogynistic to say a male is a woman because he is attracted to men, or because he performs femininity according to his culture and vice versa for a woman.

For trans people, it's simple: it's gender-validating, and women's rights will always take second place to that. For liberal feminists, it's similar: women's rights always take second place to virtue-signalling about what a good considerate feminist you are by prioritising everyone other than women, who are seen as practically privileged because of how constant and ubiquitous discrimination against them is.

what do you think leads someone to becoming QT or a TRA?

Liberal feminism. It packages mainstream gender roles into a new, prettier box, and sells it back to women as empowerment. Trans ideology just takes it a step further.

For GC: what do you think leads someone to becoming QT or a TRA?

Environment, mostly. This is a very new movement, but it's been pushed heavily over the past 5 years. Especially for young people in liberal towns and cities. I think a lot of it is motivated by liberalism, sympathy, and wanting to be on the right side of history. It's the same way a lot of GC people started out. We wanted to be nice, we wanted a struggling, marginalized community to feel accepted and included. Those are good motivations.

Do you think QTers/TRAs are always homophobic/misogynistic?

Not at all, and certainly not in ways that they would recognize. I feel like a lot of casual TRAs are ignorant of the darker things that are happening as a result of the trans movement. They are cheerleading because they genuinely believe it's morally right and they have seen no homophobia or misogyny. Now there are of course also some "true believers" who know the darker things and dismiss them or even promote them. But I feel like the majority of TRAs are happily ignorant and tribal and thus bow to liberal feminist authorities. They won't listen to us because they've been told we're bigots who want trans people dead.

I think its generally transphobia, misunderstanding what trans people are actually like and our situation, or the perception of incompatible aims. Either alone or in some combination.

Some are just liars even if they told the lie so often that they are confused about there being any truth to the matter. Some are mentally ill who have been misled. Some are weak minded and misled. I imagine there will be (or already are among very young ones) some who are just misled from such an early age that they are victims, in the most complete sense of the word, of liars and of a culture that emboldens monsters. The idea of "the sex of a person" only makes sense in the context of reproductive potential, and "the gender of a person" is just bullshit.
