Poem I wrote about my experience with detransitioning as a teenager. Hope this is okay here, I don't know where else to post it, and I hope it makes someone feel less alone.

Drip fed poison,

Prescribed by a yawning man.

If you don't like

Any part of yourself,

Peripheral or otherwise,

Get under the surgeons knife.

I tried to cut myself

Into another life.

If you'd go as far as to alter that

Mole or spot,

Well, do what you will

With your natal lot.

Miseducation is

Money's legislation.

Drip fed poison,

Oh well.

Don't think of it as

Chemical castration.

You'll be cast out

If you dare to mutter

What rings with a horrid truth:

"Mutilation."

But now

I'm just another

Pubescent girl

With a chest made as flat

As the next dollars drawing board,

Oh well.

Take this as a sign

Of the derelict times.

Drip fed poison

And I'm made quiet.

Phantom pain of being

Someone else,

I look in the mirror

And I can't even see myself.

.

I thought I could morph nature

Into a caricature of itself.

Control change,

But isn't it strange?

I've lost all grip

I ever had.

Hush!

This is

The new normal.

Get with the times.

I'm not sure what country you are in, but voices like yours need to be heard. You should send this to your local representative. Make them think about the devastating effect this ideology is having on young people's lives.

This has such a strong message, such a powerful and emotional impact. You managed to get your experience across in a way that I won't forget. So if you feel up for it, you could consider sharing it in other places. LGBdroptheT might like it too, for example. Send it to causes and people who are sympathetic, maybe they could give you a bigger platform, reach more people that could use a message like this.
