Forcing women to register for the US military draft was a scare tactic used by Phyllis Schlafly in the 1970's to defeat passage of the Equal Rights Amendment.

But plenty of women have joined the all-volunteer military. In the 21st C reps for the US military have said "We cannot go to war without the women." Just ask Senator Tammy Duckworth.

Many young women would be willing to register for the draft and take equal responsibility IF they also had equal legal rights. So if MRAs want women to have to register, the best way to do it (according to Phyllis Schlafly) would be to pass the ERA.

Are those crickets, boys?

Well, they’ll have to do this if they also plan on claiming “TWAW”, or every guy afraid of being drafted will claim to be female.

Yeah, I know it was a phenomenon during the Vietnam War era for men to try to fake mental illness, pretend they were gay when they weren't, claim religious exemptions (citing religious affiliations they did not actually have), anything and everything to avoid having to enlist.

I'm in favor of eliminating the draft altogether. No one should be forced to risk their life against their will to fight in someone else's war. I'm a mom to a little boy and a little girl, and I'm not raising either of them to be a sacrifice to senseless violence for those in power. If they want to join the military as adults, that should be their choice.

Honestly I think one reason the draft hasn't been eliminated is because it's the easiest way to get people to oppose an equal rights amendment for women, and thus maintain the status quo of a sexist society. After all, no one wants to send their daughter to war. But I don't want to send my son either.
