Reddit just hates women, that's it.

I resisted that interpretation for a while, giving Reddit the benefit of the doubt.

But yeah, Reddit hates women.

I wish that a journalist would confront Spez on the next interview he gets, and just ask him point blank, "What is wrong with GC and feminists' lives?" It would be so quiet, what follows, that we could probably hear the sound of Trump tweeting over it.

It's probably because Silicon Valley is full of TiMs, and there's been speculation that The Powers That Be in the tech industry can fill their diversity quota for "women" by hiring TiMs.

I’ve heard this and kind of inherently sensed it too, but are you aware of any statistics?

Like who else is moderating these Reddit subs

Apparently a sub Reddit ironically called something like r/againsthatesubs is behind the banning of the gendercritical and LGBdroptheT subs on Reddit. We've had a discussion about Reddit banning women's subs before on this sub. Let me see if I can find the original post and post it again.

Right. I'm particularly interested in aggregated statistics about trans-identified moderators of forums and subreddits, as well as the prevalence of trans-identification in tech jobs.

Did they even give an explanation? Did something happen?

Or were the uppity women there too TERFy to be allowed to speak?

well, looks like "malelivesmatter" was banned as well, https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivesmatter
I suppose that anything that acknowledges that sex (as in male/female) is real is now considered hate speech?

Potentially, but I would also wager that '____ Lives Matter' with anything that isn't 'black' or 'trans' or even 'black trans' is wrongthink that attempts to CoOpt tHE MovEmenT BECKY so must be expunged.

It's funny, cause saying "all lives matter" as a response to "blm" does sound really awful and tone deaf and it fails to recognize why black people need a liberation movement separate from everyone else to fight white supremacy. Yet, these people co-opted feminism, which is supposed to be for the liberation of females, for themselves. "Feminism is for everyone" is the equivalent of "all lives matter", and people (males and handmaids) co-opting feminism are failing to recognize why females (women only) need a liberation movement separate from everyone else to fight male supremacy. And of course, if you point this out to them, they reee like there's no tomorrow.

Ah, that didn't even occur to me for whatever reason. Ya you're probably right, we're only allowed to say certain kinds of lives matter.

Reddit is stuck in a rough spot, on one hand they want to please their biggest investor, a country that treats women like livestock, and on the other hand, they love their free unpaid jannitors who are, in large numbers, Trans men.

I noticed something going on about a year and a half ago, when the so-called "Science" sub was banning questions about transgenderism to a Doctor (might have been a scientist) who was having an AMA there (Ask Me Anything that Pretending Males approve of you wanting to know about, I guess that AMA tPMaOYwTkA doesnt fit as well).

And ever since Reddit had banned The_D, they have been increasing censorship on all sides. I was part of progressive communities that were cracked down upon by the mods, anyone who is not a neocon liberal becomes marginalized, ON PURPOSE. Many of these subs didnt break any rules, and like GC, were targeted because of their resistence to the forced "Opinions" on reddit.

Would this have anything to do with BLM?

[–]divingrightintowork 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Seriously? I can think of several reasons why people would consider it offensive but all those reasons would probably get several other subs bannds to.

Reddit is seriously becoming a crapshoot since I left the site and deleted my account on there.

Oh, so you're the one responsible? Get back on and fix it!
