Everyone knows since tomatoes aren't sweet, that means its 'special/enby/lycopene-gender' despite science classifying it as a fruit for years.

Fruit and vegetable aren't contradicting terms and while "fruit" has a clear scientific definition a "vegetable" is basically just any plant (or plant part) that people eat and is mostly only used to describe vegetables that don't fit into more specific categories like "herbs" or "fruits".

Unlike men in dresses claiming to be women, tomatoes can claim to be fruits because they fit the scientific definition in every way. They can also claim to be vegetables because fruit are a type of vegetables.

So what I got from that is that spray painting in an alley isn't vandalism, but it IS a hate crime if you insult tomatoes.

Now make a cartoon showing the tomato assaulting a woman in the bathroom with #ReportRape at the end.

You're mixing up the laws there, in the UK, since the woman being undoubtedly assaulted might have used the T* word, the Officers there would commend the brave pretending male for assaulting this disgusting villain commiting hate crimes by believing that Women are Women.

This really makes no sense. If they would've just done a bit of research, they would know that tomatoes are indisputably a fruit, and also that their comparison doesn't work because all fruits also belong to the larger category of vegetables. Last time I checked, all fruits are vegetables, though not all vegetables are fruits, while man/boy/male and woman/girl/female are mutually exclusive categories. It's ridiculous that the tomato would cry after not being able to pick a bathroom when he qualifies to use either the fruit or the vegetable bathroom

LOL.

It's also a problem that their comparison makes the "real problem" look more absurd. Tomatoes don't need to pee, they don't care if humans classify them as fruit or vegetables, and they have no rights. This cartoon seems to be aimed at preschoolers, and I expect most of them would find it stupid, too.

I think it's intentional. Try to present the problem as nothing, and you're making the poor tomato feel sad and left out, and it's all so silly anyways, why would you silly women get creeped out by a man in the bathroom with you? etc. (And they always use the bathroom issue as a kind of trojan horse too, cause people will buy it when they say they "just want to pee", but as much as we can't afford to cede ground on the bathroom issue, changing rooms, prisons, rape shelters… those are all even worse. And I think they know they can't frame the issue that way, cause there's no way they'd get support.)

And what they're doing here is really insidious too, cause not only are they presenting an actual issue in ridiculous terms, but this is a hate crime PSA. They show all the bathroom stuff in the beginning, but the hate crime that's being reported at the end is the vandalism, not the bathroom stuff. (And also, how much anti-trans vandalism is going on? that seems like a very niche issue to me, but maybe it's different in the UK—I would guess not, though) The way they've framed it, though, if you watch this uncriticially, you're going to subconciously connect hate crime with denial of access to a bathroom, even though they're not the same thing at all. They just set up this scenario so you're supposed to feel bad for the poor tomato, he's so lost and no one accepts him, he witnesses a hate crime against his type, and so on, and they're drawing this analogy to trans people, even though it falls apart when you look at it—this tomato was presumably born a tomato, he didn't start off a banana or some such, and even if you accept the ridiculous premise that the tomato wasn't allowed in either bathroom (despite qualifying to use either one), then the issue is lack of facilities suited for him, not one existing for him, but he really wants to use the other and so refuses to use the one already there for him and instead puts up a fuss about not being allowed in the other one. And especially when you consider the fact that vegetables are presumably not a threat to each other (unlike humans), and that vegetables presumably don't have privacy rights either, and then they're connecting this tomato not feeling like either bathroom suits him and running away in tears to this hate crime that's unlikely to happen irl, and putting it in a format that children might watch (indoctrination), it's just awful.

Hmm, all good points! Not much I can really say to that.

It reminds me of the ice cream cone sex orgy that bill nye publicised when they finally gave him a show again. Its a big attempt to propogandize the youth, and that its coming from their police, even scarier.

I want to see the video of the UK police working around the clock to capture the tomatto killers (people eating sandwiches for brunch).

Wait.... saying that 'tomatoes arent fruit' is a hate crime?

No wonder that these people are trying to ban Harry Potter.
