Sam Smith:

...gender non-conforming...

Also Sam Smith:

I want kids. I want all of it. I want to be with the kids, watch them grow and be with them every day. I want to be mummy.’

The thing that really gets me is that he could have taken an admirable [edit: and actually gender nonconforming] stance. He could have shown young kids that it is ok to be male and wear what you want, feel what you feel, say what you feel, be a full-time parent and love it. But apparently marketing said no.

It's transphobic to suggest that dads should be good parents.

No, Sam, you aren't getting shit because you are 'gender nonconforming.' No one gives a crap if you wear lipstick. That is boring and old - men were wearing makeup back in the 70s. You are getting shit because you keep saying regressive sexist nonsense like you have an inner woman that comes out when you do sexy dancing, and your inner lady just loves heels.

Also, is it just me...how does Sam gender non conforming? Most of the time he has super short hair, stubble, bad skin, unkempt brows, jumpers. He looks like a normal bloke. He isn't exactly pushing the boundaries of femininity in men is he?

Indeed, it was a claim to fame for many men in the rock/pop music world back then.

Sam would do well to spend less time making pouty, duck-lipped faces in the mirror and whingeing to the press about how hard he has it and more time learning an eensy bit of history.

Last picture of him I saw, he was wearing a pearl earring, which is clearly a sign of femalehood!!!! 🙄

The most wildly anti-GNC people are often trans and nonbinary identified people themselves. They want to use us when its convenient and the second we’re inconvenient to their point at hand, we’re chopped liver. In a single day of a TRA the labeling of a GNC person as trans or cis could flip flop 400 times. In their own day, they might just be themselves and not dress as conforming. Its a form of black and white thinking and if anything celebrities are more likely to be trapped into their boxes that support genderism’s rise.

It’s obvious to anyone whose ever lived more than 30 minutes into the country that they would not last a day without literally dying because someone misgendered them because most women in the country don’t perform hyper-femininity to the degree that the woke circles do. That isn’t a coincidence- the rise of hyperfemininity combined with insidious homophobia and misogyny is why we have the leap in at least lesbian and bisexual TIFs imo. It’s alienating as all fuck, and it’s more alienating if your also mentally ill or have a neuroatypical condition or if you’re trying to bond with other women and feeling rejected because you can’t half ass liking make up and frilly swooshy dresses and shit.

And the sad thing is pharmaceutical, surgeons, endocrinologists, and some therapists see it as a way to make $$. I’m not saying packing the kids up and taking them to a working farm would help a lot of them with context about the hyper gendered environment of most post-modern academic and tumblr/twitter infested virtue signaler infested nests... but a little context beyond TV and social media continually glamorizing hyperfeminity to the point of selfharm and mocking women in a more natural state might actually net some positive mental wellbeing gains for younger people. Maybe celebrities too need breaks away from what ends up apparently mental health shattering environments that encourage this sort of self imposed self destruction.

Tldr: Celebrities are out of touch and this makes it worse on young gullible people who buy into gender bullshit and adults who should damn well know better but struggle to think independantly. Just be your fucking self, for fucks sake, you’re like 35 dude.

Sam's latest record bombed in the sales charts and now he's looking for excuses.

I never got the appeal. He's an unattractive person with an unattractive voice and whiny, dreary songs. Must be the new fashion, although maybe the fashion has moved on already.

"I'm really, really sorry, I think I was just relieved to see that Michael's Scarn got his confidence back." "Yeah, michael, the movie is amazing." "It's like, one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life."

Another talented "modern artist".

How can you be GNC yet believe that being GNC means you have no gender at all? Isn't that conforming to gender? GNC would mean identifying as male yet not conforming to traditionally male things. Being gender conforming is saying, if I don't like male things, my gender must not be male. Which is conforming to gender. It's just... how do these people think they're actually DOING anything? How do they think they're the most progressive among all of us?

Surprised to see a lot of rational people in the comments. When Buzzfeed commenters are getting sick of woke identity politics and trans/NB nonsense, you know your movement is losing.

SS has been all over the media recently. The last time this happened a few years ago it was about his weight loss. Reading between the lines of this and his recent interviews this gender dysmorphia seems to have stemmed from the fact that he used to be obese since childhood. He had gynaecomastia (boy boobs) and potentially also a more typically female fat distribution on his thighs and ass rather than the male belly. Maybe this was a hormone imbalance but maybe that’s sometimes just how it goes. Anyway, he was able to alleviate his feelings of fat shame by explaining to himself that he actually must’ve had a woman’s body and that his excess fat were actually synonymous with the curves of a woman. Hey presto - no longer has to feel bad about being overweight and gay (not my words!) if those parts are female identifying 😂 I swear whoever his therapist is must be laughing all the way to the bank...

You are a better person than me for thinking that it might indeed be some kind of dysphoria: I think it's just a question of being an attention whore and needing to be special.

It's not about being gender non-conforming. I'm a woman who doesn't shave, or wear make-up, or dresses. But I suppose I'm not non-binary because I don't have blue hair.

And I oppose this shit because it's erasing language that women use to talk about themselves and it's putting fully intact males in with women.

I had nothing against trans people, until I knew about the reality denying ideology. And how abusive it all was.
