These people "assume" people's pronouns all day, every day. It's impossible not to do this. Go to a restaurant:

person 1: where is the server?

person 2 (wokester): she's over there, let me wave her down.

BOOM! you just assumed her pronouns!

Like, are these people going out to waiters and cashiers and asking their pronouns before they proceed with the interaction? of course not.

the whole pronoun in the bio thing is another example of unsubstantiated woke bullshit, slacktivist nonsense of people doing the bare minimum to feel good about themselves, like they're making any sort of difference in the world.

I watched one of Steven Crowder's "Change my Mind" videos and it was "there are 2 genders, change my mind".

Well, a non-binary person (obviously female) sat next to him, shared their pronouns, etc. Crowder slipped up once and she tore him up for it. But then a super virtuous TRA from the crowd jumped in and said something like "stop talking over her!" and of course the NB didn't even notice the protector misgendering her, even by accident, even though you could hear half the crowd mumbling and chuckling because of it. That's the whole gender BS in a nutshell.

edit: here's the virtuous TRA misgendering the person she's defending at least four times, lmao

Lol, yeah. They can't play by their own rules because their rules are nonsense. I sometimes use a male screenname online, and once argued with someone about genderism. The response: "Your experiences, growing up as a cis male, are going to be very different from a cis woman's" Me: "Did you just assume my gender?" The only response was a sort of confused protest that my name "sounded male." And made it all the more hilarious that they did, in fact, incorrectly assume my SEX.

Edit: And also that I don't actually disagree with THAT statement, it's that everything else they said was nonsense. Of course men and women have different experiences - but they were also wanting to argue that "trans women" had different experiences than "cis men".

That clip was hilarious. Multiple misgenderings and the girl just...sits there and says nothing because that person is on her side. I also burst out laughing when he says "would you like this person to take your place" and the girl snootily replies "I'd like to finish my thought that YOU haven't let me finish yet" when the reason that she never got to finish her thought was because of the rude person in the audience. I feel bad for that guy, these people are absolutely exhausting. He maintains the highest level of politeness and decorum and they just trample all over him - they even accuse him of being aggressive with the microphone. He doesn't seem to realise that these people do not respond to reasonableness.

Yeah... I'm kind of losing respect for anybody who associates with the trans cause atm. And yes that includes those dumb enough to do the pronoun thing. I'm really done with seeing society adapt to the fetish of a handful of self-centered people and libfems throw women under the bus in order to get the approval of a bunch of misogynic pervs.

[–]Cass 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

I do, and when I see BLM. It's like a beacon saying "don't take me seriously, I am mentally challenged!"

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 23 insightful - 3 fun23 insightful - 2 fun24 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

add "acab" to that list and with a 3 score combo you know they are sociopaths

[–]Shesstealthy 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

More likely just young and idealistic trend followers

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Back when i was young, "young and idealistic" didn't include violent and graphic rape and death threaths

[–]Shesstealthy 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well not all of them are like that.

But yes, the shift to loving violent rhetoric is disturbing to me. Less experience of war? It's like they think everything is a video game.

[–]ArthnoldManacatsaman 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Lord, say it louder for the people at the back.

I give very short shrift to people who are woke. Whether that manifests itself in #BLM or Xe / Xim or what have you.

[–]peaked2020 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Why BLM?

[–]Britishbulldog 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

BLM AND pronouns are a really 2020 virtue signal. BLM alone is fine- as far as I’m aware they’re not like TRAs (excluding the TRA black trans lives matter sect), they’re just sick of the institutional racism in the US/U.K. (idk about BLM abroad). Pronouns only indicates someone is (at best) not engaging their brain, (at worst) one of the bullies also.

[–]lefterfield 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The organization is very sketchy, imo. There's a lot of virtue signaling on their manifesto about "black trans women" and very little about helping black people who actually need it, or what that help would look like.

[–]Cass 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And there's new virtue signalling emerging about "unborn black lives matter". Anti-choice people who think being pro-choice is a new way whites are trying to attack blacks.

[–]Finnegan7921 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Yes. It is so absurd. If the person is, in a profile pic, androgynous and has a unisex name, it is helpful, but when an obvious man or woman does it, it is just blatant virtue signaling. Kamala Harris has them on her twitter bio, just in case anyone was confused. Such pandering.

[–][deleted] 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I have a very androgynous name in the western hemisphere (in ots native language it's very female). I don't give a FUCK if people think I'm male. It's actually really sad when people obsess over this. Like actual women don't get triggered for this shit.

[–][deleted] 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

As Dr Mylastname everyone assumes I'm male. I don't care and it can actually be pretty funny seeing patients frantically backpedaling thinking they've offended me.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I wonder if we should say it's not offensive. Like I don't have a fragile sense of self lol

[–]justasking918273 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I always thought that in this case they don't apologise because of gender/pronoun nonsense but because it shows sexist stereotypes like "All doctors are male".

[–]arcticbasket[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

EXACTLY. I have a very obvious female name in the English-speaking world, but when I lived in Spanish-speaking countries, and sent emails with just my first name and last name, people generally assumed I was male. I started using my first name and internationally-obvious female middle name just to make it clear from the start. Not because I was triggered by them thinking I was male, just to avoid having the conversation for the thousandth time.

[–]materialrealityplz 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

But if the person is androgynous, I'd prefer them to write male/female than pronouns.

[–]YoutiaoLover 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes! Male/female signs (♂️ and ♀) works too

[–]materialrealityplz 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah. The virtue-signaling is so strong and it's clear they haven't done their research or thought critically about it. I hate it.

[–]TwinTeaLeaf 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What drives me crazier than that is seeing TRAs harass others about adding their pronouns to their profile. Several artists I follow on Twitter get hounded by people telling them they need to add their pronouns to their profile every time they post. They say it's to "show support and normalize it". Can we normalize leaving people the heck alone and not harassing others under the guise of "support"? Because they're acting like it's a cult and they need you to comply or you'll be canceled.

I wouldn't want to post my pronouns (aside from not buying into that) just for the fact that I've had enough harassment from gross men online. I'm not going to make myself more of a target for that than I have to.

[–]arcticbasket[S] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree - why harass people about something that affects less than 1% of the population? In 99+% of cases, it's obvious what a person's pronouns are.

[–]QueenBread 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Pronouns are the the 2020 equivalent of how it was some centuries ago to hear someone say "black people are inferior" or "I support nazism": you immediately know they're idiots.

[–]peaked2020 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

How are pronouns the same as nazis and racists... some TRA stupid logic here.

[–]QueenBread 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think in psychology it's called "projecting". Oh, snap!

[–]EveSerpent 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I recently took an online course and some of the profs had pronouns right beside their names in Zoom. I thought they might’ve been forced to do this, but no. Not all of them did, so it was clearly optional.

Respect flew right out the window.

[–]JustWhy 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just got a message on LinkedIn with someone listing their pronouns in their name. Respect immediately lost and I know I don't want to work with their organization.

[–]Liinukkaloinen 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes, I do lose respect for pronoun declarations, but can't help feeling a bit envious at times. Compared to staring a system of oppression in the face, giving in to Stockholm syndrome must feel relieving; and that's what keeps the system going.

[–]LesbianOutlaw 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I find it strange and quite frankly condescending. I am tired of being held up as a woke lightning rod.

[–]divingrightintowork 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes - both when it's obvious and when it's not.

[–]PeakingPeachEater 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Whatever happened to old school A/S/L?

Age | Sex | Location

I wouldn't be nearly as miffed if they put "F" or "M" to signify "Female" or "Male" vs the hippy monkey turd they put in their profiles these days.

[–]PressSnoozeWoke 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

As soon as I see listed pronouns, I move on to the next page.

[–]wecandobetter 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yew. A million times yes.

[–]WrongToy 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yes. Like our now vice-president elect.

The fact is that the only thing that stands between the Biden/Harris prior commitment to the "Equality Act" is the same magas many of us don't like, or Republicans, or whatever. The Senate stays in their hands, they back off on this insanity, or at least let the conversation go forward into SCOTUS as will probably happen with Hecox.

I'm not going to sit here for one minute and think that there's one type of penis that doesn't matter from another type when it's there and present with me in a vulnerable state. I don't care if it's Blaire White or Jonathan Yaniv if I have to encounter it in a female setting, and I only respect Blaire more because they've established they would never do that. But the Jonathans will.

[–]FrancisAaronUK 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, I tend to lose respect for those who do it. It's blatant moral-signalling, done mainly to appease the activist herds.

I have a line about this in my new song:

"A strange circus did invoke now: The deranged worship of the pronoun."

You can check it out here: – https://youtu.be/nSAWylw8dwQ

[–]MiaXiang 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Absolutely.

[–]radfemblaq 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

IDK how this went from pronouns to Black lives matter but this is why more Black women wont get into this movement, A lot of you are so racist and honestly its sad shit. Id hoped that the racist elements were gone since you guys left reddit but I see im wrong, This is also why I do not have any solidarity with white women because just when I think we're good, there always something. IS there a rad fem board for Black women only? If so let me know, because I dont feel welcome here

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

The only one being racist here is you.

Maybe stop projecting and realise just because people don't like BLM it doesn't automatically mean they are white and are racist because that is racist. There are a lot of issues with BLM in itself and you don't have to be white to fucking notice that.

[–]radfemblaq 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Lol yea sure, you’re one of those white people who think acknowledging racism is being racist. Got it👍🏽And guess what Black lives DO matter. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Did you really just assume my race because i disagreed with you?

And it's weird you are GC and support BLM when they love to chant "black trans lives matter". If a black woman is killed by a black man they dont give a fuck but the poor black TIM's... https://abcnews.go.com/US/start-black-lives-matter-lgbtq-lives/story?id=71320450

Or are you just confusing the sentiment with the movement/organisation because those are 2 very different things?
