We're caught between a party that wants to revoke rights, or at least not ratify (I think that's the word lol) rights... and a party that wants to "fight for the underdogs". People really don't think women are underdogs anymore... nor are racial/ethnic minorities... nor are disabled minorities... nor are sexual minorities (LGB)... because these groups have some rights/protections (Acts). It was another underdog group's turn for "allies" (Democrats) to fight for.

The trick is not to fight for your group to be higher up the pyramid of oppression but to throw the whole concept of the pyramid away as useless.

Even if women were the most privileged group on earth they'd still deserve basic human rights. They'd still need rights and facilities specific to their biology.

If you can't get your head round that you can't help women. Our rights can't be based on suffering and victimhood alone because the world does charge and power does shift.

The only silver lining is that once they don' t consider trans people underdogs anymore, they will throw them under the bus just like they have done for anyone else, and according to what the new progressive pet project will be, they could even end up losing all the privileges they have gained in the past few years and maybe women could gain some basic rights back.

Cons of this, 1) we don' t know when this is going to happen and how much damage it will do in the meantime and 2) we don' t know what the category that will take trans' s place will be: it could very well be something worse than them, which is, in itself, an incredibly horrifying thought.

Indeed. I think this will last for at least a decade though unless non-trans TRAs jump off the bandwagon / remove their support. Don't see that happening. When have activists ever backtracked / admitted they were wrong?

Activists absolutely won' t do it, at most they will quietly stop spreading propaganda and will absolutely won' t take responsibility for the shit they have done and said. And that can only happen if there is a drop of support from the population that could convince politicians/business/media to start ignoring this crap instead of shoving it down our throats constantly.

I have zero faith that anyone in those categories (activists, politicians, media and business gurus) will admit that they were morons and/or corrupted.

Double Down is the new rule. If you support something insane and blatantly false, when called out on it, double down! There are grown men in suits walking around DC who would look you in the eyes with a straight face and say "some women are born in men's bodies" -- the freakiest cult ever.

I think there have been coordinated efforts from multiple sides to push this narrative that women are "privileged" compared to men-- it's been going on for decades. Consider how Rush Limbaugh's term "feminazis" has become mainstream.

The Manosphere narrative (not saying Rush Limbaugh is one of them) is full of this insanity: "Women trick men into marrying them just to divorce them and take their stuff. And in court, the woman gets everything. It doesn't make sense for a man to marry."

Oh, and women are only in the workplace to claim sexual harassment and again cash in on it.

Trans sissification fantasies seem to bleed over into non-trans men's decision to paint themselves as victims.
