UPC codes from Amazon are nothing but the Universal Product Codes (UPC) that you see on products in many retail stores. Amazon requires brand owners/ sellers to have unique product identification to list their products. These UPC codes are 12-digit numbers, also called GTIN-12, issued by how to get a upc code for amazon , a non-profit organization set up under the Government of India. If you don’t have UPC codes, Amazon will not allow you to sell products on its platform. Amazon checks the UPC codes enlisted by brand owners while listing the product against the database provided by GS1. These codes help amazon identify the product uniquely among lakhs of products available on its marketplace. It enables them to trace the product back to its manufacture.
