So I had a pound of Briess Bavarian Wheat DME some Hallertau Hops and munich classic wheat yeast so I thought why not make a quick schmutziges weizen bier. Got a gallon RO water up to boil added hops, let boil for 25 minutes then added the DME and mix well. Cooled to 68 f and add the yeast, One hour later I realized I forgot to check the OG and pulled a sample for my refractometer then using Wort Correction Factor of 1.04: 14/1.04=13.46 or about
10.57 and a 5.27 ABV . Did i mention I ran out of room in my fermentation fridge and ran out of airlock so improvised.
And yes one hour, it's alive and doing well
