I just delisted us (/s/opieandanthony) from /s/all and default lists. I understand that it is an eyesore for those engaging in rational discussion. Please carry on without our absolute degeneracy.

Thanks.
That gives the developers some time to implement some solutions before the next flood from reddit arrives. ;-)

And it will. And I hope it does. Reddit needs to die a slow death for impeaching on free speech values more and more and more.

They just banned a bunch of 4-chan-like degenerates calling each other fags and retards. What is left after that?

Good move.

Thnk you.

...but it might be insuficiente as some of your users seem to lack the manners we're used to in this site. One thing is to keep your shenanigans to your sub-saidit another is when it spills over.

I don't blame you, but if u could keep them in busy or even encourage them to behave in the rest of the site I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Perhaps you could try "Bowling for Behave"

I agree, this fits well with Saidit's mission to promote discussion and understanding. Being flooded from one source does not help.

In the same spirit, a maximum number of posts from the same user on the front page.

Good idea to limit the posts from one user as well!
And a limit to the posts from one IP.

There can also be flooding from click-farms or schools. This may be reduced with limiting posts from one region. And maybe even their votes in a way.

We could add a new sub type to go along with /s/all and /s/subscribed but I don't think it's good to change what either of those mean, or to change the hot algorithm. Or add a new tab next to hot that people can set as default.

Now I see nothing on Saidit homepage that is worth my time. So adding a limit is really nice. ;-)

Edit: Extra posts can be added as a line underneath the 3rd. Like:
Maximum reached > > 5 more posts click here (103 points) > >
That way "popular" posts are never hidden.

Not a bad idea but even if we go for it it would take weeks. In the meantime you can reconfigure your home page and subscriptions to show less opieanthony if you want. You're probably aware, just tryina get it out there.

I also see it as a preparation for other groups of people flooding the homepage. Like when thedonald would move to saidit.

Agreed. At a certain point we will be off track by having /s/all (/s/home) as the default home page.
