As someone that grew to hate what Reddit has become, I've been happy to see that some other people have felt the same way and left in search of greener pastures. I hope reddit goes the way of digg.
I was never a Trump supporter, but the /r/the_donald ban pissed me off. The /r/GenderCritical ban pissed me off even more because they actually kept that place moderated well and there was nothing to reasonably ban them over. Glad to see that /s/GenderCritical is gaining a userbase here rapidly.
I've already found a distributed alternative for my Twitter browsing (the Fediverse, a distributed network with a similar interface to Twitter but with no central authority so you don't have to worry too much about arbitrary bans). Between that and SaidIt, I really feel like I'm able to break away from the the stifling mainstream options.
Happy to be a part of the community!
