Welcome! I hope you can find some good non-political content — my major complaint about Saidit is the fact it doesn't have much of that, but with people like you joining up, it seems like that might change! Make sure to read the wiki, it has a lot of crucial information!

I am also a political neutral, but in a different way: I'm a radical centrist. I don't like either side, and see them both as practically the same.

I tell everyone this, but make sure to report spam (usually ads, stuff in Arabic, and virus links), it really helps out with keeping the site a place where real people can have real conversations! Porn is also not allowed, even though there's no unique option to report it (just use "Other" and type "porn").

Also a centrist...

In what way do you see the far right and far left the same?

Agreed on the need for more non-political content. But it's also kind of like a tornado is hitting our house right now, and it's hard to concentrate on your hobbies and interests while the house around you is being destroyed.

Both sides oppose Democracy, want to kill their political opponents, are obsessed with material possessions, and use the same tactics to gain power. If you compare, for example, Antifa with the SS: you'll find very few differences.

Democracy is just mob rule.

Political enemies are life enemies. Your existence is a threat to their survival and success, as they define it. Where is the moral imperative to give your enemies as many chances as they need to destroy you?

Haven't heard about the 'material possession' aspect of political beliefs. This is to facilitate control over policies and procedures?

The tactics of the left and right seem like they couldn't be more different.

Yeah it chose me, but, although I may be smart, I am not particularily articulate, so I can't really participate without being stabbed in the back and misunderstood, despite my intentions being good.

      Like the Animals song.

You can click on the "youtube" button to expand that inline. I had no clue that's what that did for an embarrassingly long time.

Cool. I was referring to a line in Billy Joel's Angry Young Man here that even my dad, who introduced me to it, forgot.

That's certainly what it feels like.
