As with some users of this website, I too, have had experience with using Reddit. In my case though, I still use it BUT I make sure to stay away from the degenerate parts of the platform and was fortunate enough to find communities with chill people. However, it doesn't change the fact that Reddit is still a mostly toxic place where non-conformists with good intentions are treated like they have bad intentions.
So I was looking for Reddit alternatives for in case Reddit becomes too hostile to people who are well-intended though considered to be non-conformist for that platform and out of all the options presented to me in a website that listed Reddit alternatives, SaidIt won me over.
That being said, I hope that my stay in SaidIt will be amazing.
