Saidit is fine, better than crazy places like 4chan or voat if that's still a thing, or Ruqqus which is now dead and kamikazed itself in a suicidal destruction. Maybe its a bit like Minds or Bitchute but Anonymous, without the Alt-Tech celebrity faces.

Voat is apparently rebranding as Talk.lol. The new URL as well at Voat.xyz both seem to lead to the same place, but profiles weren't ported over.

I remember using old Voat for a while and cringing at the front page too hard every time.

The lack of diversity in online communities reflects the homogenization of culture in society. The proliferation of advertising in the twentieth century instilled this mindset in people of perpetual need and inadequacy, creating consumers who never feel fulfilled. Social media has had a similar effect in ruining communities, by encouraging behaviors which attract the most attention (to advertising), while robbing us of more constructive meaning and purpose.

We need culture creators who can escape the current paradigm, not merely resist it, but conceive of an alternative which is fully independent. This requires a revolution against finance, government, and industry, every facet of the globohomo hellscape which has overtaken the world must be uprooted.

1: Holy shit that's insightful.

2: I'm gonna meme a little, but it sounds like part of the solution is to touch grass.

3: A longer term solution is to learn how to build and/or care for things.

Not many people here, but it seems like a cool place. There is nowhere to go but up.

This is probably gonna be its peak in terms of coolness. The feds will eventually infiltrate, like all platforms. Site_sux will call upon his buddies if it gets too active here.

Ive said it before, I'll say it again: If you lurk on reddit, you're generating ad revenue for these cretins. Stay off, stay completely off!!!

It's pretty decent so far. Voat was too... at first. I hope it doesn't become a toxic cesspool the way voat did. I don't want to go to a site where everyone agrees with me. I don't want to feel like I'm visiting a nazi circle jerk either.

I'm going to reddit a lot less, and probably will stop altogether soon. Same as I did with facebook.

I've been a part of the internet for a while now and this is my first time hearing about Reddit alternatives. I've been using Reddit for years and have found it to be an excellent resource for finding news and information on a wide range of topics. Go to tobacco and nicotine free dip for best ideas. I was surprised to hear that there are alternatives out there, but I'm glad to see them. It will be interesting to see how this changes things for the better.
