Not entirely sure why my account had all these subscriptions when I started the account, but whatever went through removed the ones I didn't care for.

For now that's just how this place works. Each new user is automatically subscribed to every sub. I think the idea is that it increases awareness for subs people might not normally notice.

In your account settings there should be an option to remove all of your subscriptions if you wish to start from a blank slate, but sounds like you took care of it already.

This might be the best part of my week! Refugee from reddit here, only stayed on reddit for the sub and the community just makes me feel finally accepted and not a lunatic at all. Hope to make some contributions to this!
