Science and common sense were usually dominant in the mainstream narrative, and were still on the rise, but then they were supplanted by junk science and nonsense of a mostly leftist collectivist nature, which now rules with an iron fist.
Even supposedly objective scientists and journalists were in on it.
This transformation began even though the atrocities and failures of leftist regimes (and other collectivist regimes) should have been known to anyone who cared, but even more astonishing is that most of this transformation has taken place after the atrocities and failures of leftist regimes had become widely known in the 1970s. In fact, as of 2016, the atrocities and failures of leftist regimes are now commonly denied.
The mainstream narrative is based on junk science and nonsense, and yet it demands that anyone who disagrees with its nonsense must first meet the highest imaginable standards of scientific rigor--before speaking. Of course, even if one has met this double standard, then the establishment will still try to censor and destroy that individual.
So ... if nonsense could so thoroughly overthrow real science, and establish an iron rule, how could real science ever get a voice again, let alone become supreme once again?
On what basis does anyone think science and common sense are going to make a come back?
Consider that those same scientists who we are told are accidentally discovering that leftist theory is wrong, and that this violates their leftist beliefs, should have never had nonsensical leftist junk science beliefs in the first place.
Just the atrocities and failures in the one case of David Reimer and Dr. Money is a perfect example of how the "beautiful theory" was wrong because the differences between men and women are primarily biological and not primarily learned. The failure of this nonsensical theory and the atrocities committed to promote it to this day should have prevented any honest scientist or journalist from ever believing it.
I realize that we are experiencing a mini resurgence in reality, lead in part by Jordan Peterson, but if the lessons of so many past such resurgences have been swept under the rug ...
I just can't get past how establishment scientists and journalists could have ever had nonsensical leftist junk science beliefs in the first place.
