We may as well get cozy here while the traffic is fairly low, although it's pretty impressive that we have 18,222 readers at the time this is posted. However, only ~5 users here now.

I'll start. The announcement on reddit says

We're not Americans, and we don't give a damn about their hand-wringing about words, which are air, but unfortunately, whether or not we stay on this site is determined by Americans of the San Francisco variety, so we have to prevent this - at least for now. For now, you're also not allowed to call the moderators 'faggots' - at least here.

Where are y'all from? As much as you're comfortable specifying - i.e. Europe, Eastern Europe, Mediterranean.... Or you could just be honest and tell us which part of Sub-Saharan Africa you're from.

I noticed some of you fags are larping with important-looking titles like AntonioOfVenice and DomitiusOfMassilia.

I'm from the UK. I sometimes say I'm English, but from the UK is more accurate as I've roots that trace back to a couple of different parts of the British Isles.

I definitely don't check Saidit enough yet, though to be perfectly honest, I'm trying not to be overly online at the moment generally, so it's no surprise. No lockdown for me, I'm far too essential apparently.

I'd have been perfectly happy to be furloughed for a few weeks, but that's how it goes sometimes I guess.

I think when a post is reported (totally gay move) the decision is left to the sub's moderators. None of that heavy handed, bad faith outside subversion.

That they are going to come after you is a matter of course, friendo, probably have been for some time now. I have certainly noticed the vitriol the KiA mods have been sending your way despite it being their idea that you and yours gtfo and make your own sub. They made the suggestion for years and one would think that if it were a good faith suggestion they would have embraced it instead of spewing hate at you and sending their drones in to try and subvert the community you've made. It's enough to make ya giggle.

Not me personally. I've been careful enough from the very beginning that they can't do anything. The community rather. It's growing too fast, and we're getting too big. Hence, flying too close to the Sun.

Well, they would thought it would crash and burn and that we would go crawling back to them. Actually, I didn't expect it to be nearly as successful as it turned out to be. A lot of people had tried to create alternatives to KiA before. I expected maybe 200 or 400 subscribers.

The funny thing is that I never even did any promotion for the sub. People claim to have seen me advertising for it non-stop, but I only mentioned it once and after that only defended it from attacks by the KiA mods and their 2-3 pets. I think the reason KiA2 got so successful is because of their constant attacks. And people probably trusted me more because the KiA mods attacked me non-stop. They figured that anyone the KiA mods disliked would be legit.

They were your best advertisers, readily throwing people into the KiA2 pit like many had been thrown into the KiA pit. Life is hilarious sometimes. I noticed that pink is no longer a mod and is constantly bitching in threads about the lack of moderation. For all the shitstorms centered around her, she ended up being ousted rather quietly unless I missed that gem of a thread.

It used to be a full blown rule that KiA2 moderators were to be called faggots, but admin actions meant it had to be taken down eventually.

No, but as long as we're active on Reddit (and therefore must be able to link to this place), some things will not be allowed. E.g. naming the supposed whistleblower.
