“There’s a French gay couple here? They aren’t gay bros! They’re French gay bros! They need to make their own community and leave us alone!” You see how toxic of a mindset that is?

See, what I don't get is that TRAs say they don't validate Rachel Dolezal because race/ethnicity and gender are two completely different things, but at the same time they keep using race/ethnicity in their arguments as comparison.

"being a transwoman isn't any different than being a black woman"

They love to equate other attributes that have nothing to do with gender or sex to be the same as not being a certain gender or sex. It's like saying that since a pencil can be many different colors, a turd can also be a pencil. A complete non-sequitur and false equivalence

[–]saged 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Here they go with that racism and masculizing black women, they choose black women because they feel we are close to transwomen aka men. They aren't saying it because we're opressed, they are saying it because, "if black women can be women, why can't we?"

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So they're basically saying, "If those manly ass black 'women' can be women, why can't anyone else?"

That's awful, how have they survived this long with a mentality like that? How have so many people allowed their race to be insulted by this group on the most basic level?

Honest question, what do the black lgb people/women in your circle think about this TRA debacle? Do you personally have to be low with your opinions for fear of being ostracized for your T-critical views or are you and your peers usually able to criticize with less fear of backlash?

[–][deleted] 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm using this the next time some TRA tries to shit on Rachel Dolezal for doing the exact same thing they try to pass as progressive. Thank you. I get so sick of how they try to rope race into it.

Trans men are not ready for gay men to bring it. If gay men start taking this seriously the TRAs are going to be running the other way. I’ve been popping corn for this for years. Keep telling gay men what they need to do in their bedrooms, honey.

Gay men have been, and still are, are religiously condemned, beaten, jailed, murdered, transitioned, etc all over the world, for fucking other men. Like, that’s the reason. It’s stupid. If these transes think they can do this to guys indefinitely they are wrong.

This is what I don’t get. I keep hearing about all these privileged “cis gay males” when the vast majority of gay men in the world live in fear of bodily harm and redditors are from all over the world. Even in the U.S., gay men can’t be out and proud without some fear or concern in most places. Read the room, idiots.

[–]8bitgay 28 insightful - 1 fun28 insightful - 0 fun29 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, but didn't you hear? There's a popular drag queen show on TV, so that completely negates the homophobia and lack of acceptance we have to endure. Now that cis gay men aren't oppresed anymore, the community must focus on the ones who are really being oppressed and need a voice, like, I dunno, the heteroromantic asexuals who aren't being denied any rights.

I wish I was just joking but I've actually seen people saying that we are the privileged ones of the community and that we need to give space to asexuals' fight lol

[–][deleted] 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

People don’t like now irreverent gay men are, and how they don’t spend their time fixing the world that hates them. Some are privileged, sure. They tend to be able to make more money as couples, probably because it’s two men and there are many advantages to that if you work in specific industries and choose not to have kids, or are single, I suppose. But writing them off as a group that has an easy time hasn’t grown up with gay boys as friends.

It is intersectionality taken to it's extreme conclusion. According to twitter...

Cis gay men are the straight white men of the LGBTQIA+ community.

and also something I've been hearing recently

Straight black men are the straight white men of the black community.

[–]CleverNickName 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

To these people, homophobia has been solved. Gay marriage is legal in English-speaking countries, therefore we have ALL the privilege.

I am sure that it's a complete coincidence that it sounds so much like the folks who think "racism is solved" ...

[–]yousaythosethingsFind and Replace "gatekeeping" with "having boundaries" 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They got ahead of that argument by making up some ridiculous bullshit about white colonists inventing biological sex with some noble savage ideation and somehow that was able to successfully link them up with Black Lives Matter because no one has brain cells anymore or any concept of history. At the very least, it looks like these tactics are peaking more black women, but they have enough to worry about as it is and it's hard to tell because my black female friends were not into BLM or trans activism to begin with.

Anyway, I'm still wondering where all the transbians are in non-white majority countries and where women's rights are abysmally poor. Has anyone ever heard of a transbian from Saudi Arabia?

If gay men start taking this seriously the TRAs are going to be running the other way.

There is a reason you don't often see transmen petitioning to be allowed access to men's prisons.

[–][deleted] 10 insightful - 5 fun10 insightful - 4 fun11 insightful - 5 fun -  (4 children)

Trans men would never end up in prison. They are too focused on whining to spare any time for a life of crime. Lol.

[–]jiljol 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah, about that...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5548751/Transgender-waitress-sentenced-false-rape-claims.html

But yeah, she got away with it. Her lawyer used the Get Out of Jail Free Trans Card and claimed that her actions were the result of her "struggling with identity"". So I guess using a reverse version of the Trans Panic Defense is OK as long as the T gets a lighter sentence.

[–]jiljol 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Rape by deception? Sounds like your classic trans"man" crime. Who could forget "gay trans icon" Sheila Jean Sullivan (also known as Lou Sullivan) who, in a letter sent to Ray Blanchard, gloated about sexually assaulting dozens of gay men by preventing them from seeing her genitalia? And when she was diagnosed with HIV she felt ecstatic because it served as "proof" that she was actually a gay man.

She's probably even going to adult men's prison. FYI trans men have 4x higher rates of crime and 7x violent crime than regular women. I don't know if they're trying to emulate the worst kind of men, or it's the testosterone or what.

All threats of bodily harm and incitements of violence are just jokes! Come on, where's your sense of humor? Trans people aren't ever actually violent. That time a trans male nailed a dead rat to a rape relief center and wrote KILL TERFS TRANS POWER etc all over it was just a bit of sarcasm!

A: leave gay men alone.

B: Leave trans gay men alone and maybe I might

A: we are ready to leave them alone and let them have their own community. Put your money where your mouth is, love.

B: But this is their community, they’re gay bros who happen to be trans. And judging by the comments on this post, y’all clearly aren’t ready to leave trans peeps alone. This isn’t cisgaybros, or transgaybros, it’s gay bros.

Gosh I love this exchange.

They should be honest and say that they what they really demand is sex. If trans men just wanna take part in discussions, they can. It's not like others can know which username is really gay or not. There are many straight and lesbian users in these gay subs, and you don't see them making threads about it. The reason why trans men demand so much to be included is not because they're being banned from discussions. It's because they want to not only be includeed in our groups and our discussions, but also in our sexual lives.

Did trans bros ask for your help? As a trans bro lurker I think the cis/trans woman activism on this sub has really changed its tone for the worse. I rarely come by anymore because its alientaingly female and I'm not even a cis gay dude. When you trans women showed up to "help" you brought a lot of straight cis chicks with you. And then other straight cis chicks showed up to argue the opposite side. And now this is barely a gay sub at all. for example, the reason I'm imposing my "as a trans man" on these cis gay men on the first place is in response to you.

I never heard such anti trans things said from the gay cis men on here until trans women decided this was a trans rights sub. Typically the gay men have been very respectful, even when they disagree. You are radicalizing them agaisnt us.'

Based.

She claims to be an adult.

I'm not even sure what "Curveball your head into the ground" means, like detach someone's head from their body and fling it like a baseball into the ground? Or throw a baseball at their head so hard their head hits the ground? But whatever it is, it's a statement directed specifically at gay men, specifically because they are gay, and therefore it's a hate crime.

I don't care if it's just "a joke." SJW's decided a long time ago that "intent doesn't matter."

Wow, the gaybros get to miss gender trans men. They are being a lot more “trans phobic” than I ever saw on gender critical. I support the right to do so, but it’s just shocking how much more leeway they had than we at gender critical did.

Is it because men get to do what they want? Or because it’s only a crime to miss gender a trans woman?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Now this is my opinion only and I could be wrong but it's been my experience that lesbians are a whole lot more accepted in society then gay men. I think TRA's share this opinion and view lesbians as a bigger threat. Hence the earlier ban.

I also think the askgaybros is going to get the axe as well. They will keep getting more and more threads about how they must include women until the admins have enough "evidence" to ban.
