I've started using the Seahorse is a Horse retort. I'm hoping for someone to reply about how stupid or ridiculous that is

I mean, I would, but doing that gets an instant T*RF label, and then they don't listen to a word you say.

It could work though if you're talking to people other than trans activists.

The space or lack thereof doesn't make any difference. I still think it's more productive to label MTFs as "transgendered males" and FTMs as "transgendered females."

One because they REALLY hate "transgendered" even though it's accurate, two, it still refers to their sex and doesnt let them be labeled as their "identified" one

I don't get it

TRAs say: I am a transman. The word "man" is literally in the term.

Hence: A seahorse is a horse. The word "horse" is literally in the name.

No I understand that, it's pretty hilarious too. What I don't get is the difference between trans man and transman.

A seahorse is not a horse; a transman is not a man. A transman, thusly, is not a trans MAN; she is not a man.

Will do, if I have the chance, normally I don't even have the kind of conversation that would let me do this

Most of us only have these kinds of conversations through written words (too dangerous to speak them, often).

So since we are limited to writing, it's important to not use their word bastardizations -- doing so means we accept their ideology as fact-based.

What a difference a space makes, lol.
