What's next, they're going to complain that people are donating period products to homeless women instead of trans males so they can shove tampons up their ass or something?

Or better, how about the fact that cosmetic/plastic surgery is seen as "necessary" for trans people, but people with deformities due to birth defects or injury still need to pay in full and are given lower priority?

this! a boob job is necessary for trans women, but for women with back problems it's not covered by insurance/an esthetic surgery.

Yep. And what about small-breasted women who "identify" as busty (or vice-versa)? See themselves as being in the "wrong body"? One that doesn't match their inner, true self? Why isn't a boob job considered necessary (and thus deserving of insurance coverage, etc.) for THEM?

too low on the oppression totem pole. they should identify as non-binary or make up a gender for bonus points.

No kidding. Boob job for a guy who wants his own silicone boobs to jerk off to, covered under insurance. A woman born with only one boob? Too bad for her, she'll have to pay for the surgery herself.

Women are the enemy of the TRA. Unless when we validate them of course.

Does he think the reason women get menopause treatment is to have kids?!

This enrages me on multiple levels...

    1) does this twit think women get to just demand drugs and get them without going through the same if not more scrutiny than these guys do, including needing a prescription? One that generally requires a physical exam, not just whining about about how you're really a lady

    2) surprise, surprise, bunch of dudes are utterly ignorant of women's bodies and medications intended for women until they want it, and then it's oppressive because they realize something they want isn't only for them. Reminds me of all the incels who were outraged when forced to acknowledge that little girls were the my little pony target audience

    3) THEY'RE STILL IGNORANT. What kind of idiot pines for a prescription medication that is intended for a body unlike his and doesn't even know what it is meant to do. It's pretty clear that they believe it's to stop menopause so women can keep having babies (because of course that's the only reason they can think of you'd care about menopause) and not to deal with symptoms of menopause.

Narcissistic, ignorant, self-absorbed assholes to a man, no exceptions.

Yeah that really confused me when I first read this. I am pretty young and haven't thought about menopause at all but I don't think there are scads of 50+ year old women being like "I really want another child now that menopause has started, so let's take this wonder drug so I can pop out more!"...

There might be if it worked like that. I'm sure there are women who would really like to extend their fertility period, especially nowadays.

    This reminds me...

I recently had to pick up my prescription for an anxiety medication. Did you know the pharmacy just had it back there? Like, I found out they totally give it to other people who need it!? I was so upset and mad that the pharmacy and medical profession did not think only of me! I'm so outraged they use medication to help other people too! WHAT ABOUT ME AND ONLY ME!!!!

Does someone want to tell him it’s only HRT (i.e. hormone replacement therapy) for “cis women” and for him it’s merely cosmetic indulgence because his healthy body would never be producing those hormones.

    [–]ChodeSandwichtender and moist 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

As if trans women don't have circles of enablers and guides coaching each other on how to manipulate their doctors and buy shady Chinese hormones, or that a cis woman can casually buy it while poor males have to get a script. Dude just wants to whine and complain.

I'm not too familiar with these products, but isn't HRT for non-trans people also controversial and likely dangerous? I believe I had read that that was the case for at least early attempts at HRT amongst biological women...

I'm not super up on the latest, but I think the pool of women for which drs recommend HRT has shrunk due to cancer concerns. I know that drs used to prescribe it to almost anyone but that has changed.

I read an interesting article about this a while ago, which shed some light on the issue.

Sadly I can't get past the pay wall... https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/menopause/in-depth/hormone-therapy/art-20046372. I found this from the Mayo Clinic though. It says that taking Progesterone can reduce the risks of Estrogen HRT in terms of cancer while also covering the risks/applications of HRT. Is that similar to what the article says?

I love getting high on opiates. I was so excited to find out that they have them at pharmacies and hospitals 🥰😍😃

🙁😢😩Facing the fact that people who have just had open heart surgeries or are battling cancer have had opiates available to them this whole time

    [–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

When your ideology sees even basic medical oversight of hormone therapies as literal genocide, it's clearly broken.
