Found this comment on the second linked post:

Homosexuality is degeneracy encouraged by anti-human forces bent on destroying the human race. These degenerates think they are just normal people but no, they are already subhuman. They should be segregated into full apartheid so that their degenerating influence could be curtailed. But no, these anti-humans are hard at work destroying mankind.

I think it’s best to ignore them. It’s unfortunate that the conservative nut jobs feel emboldened to shit on us. I had a feeling that some opportunistic extremists would use the S+ movement to be blatantly hateful. Regardless, I’m pretty sure that the general consensus in the S+ community is that the LGB are okay.

It's just u/Horrux, I knew it was him from the quote, he always says shit like that. It's like his trademark. Whatever, probably had a bad experience with some asshole who was gay.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (25 children)

You bet I did. I suffered harassment, and what would have been a group rape if I had not acted as smartly and quickly as I did.

Also, I know a guy who used to be straight but later became gay. Through influence from such degenerates, vouching to him that men know better how to suck cock than women - and would eagerly do so. So it spreads, although the reverse is pretty much unheard of. It is a plague on mankind.

I don't want to be here. I'm super straight, as in, I am a cis male who is only into cis females. I know, weird right? Anyway, I've muted this sub and am trying to forget there are such things on my planet. Ugh.

I'm really sorry you had a bad experience, honestly. Your other acquaintance sounds like a loser and maybe sex-obsessed.

Obviously people should be free to associate with whoever they want to so, yeah, if you don't want to be around gay men I'm not about to tell you otherwise, especially since your personal experiences have left a bad impression. But consider that you might be overgeneralizing your bad experiences a bit.

Yeah just like rape victims are exaggerating when they have trouble with sex afterward.

[–]freshpeaker 14 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I'm pretty sure rape victims don't dismiss a whole class of people. What a snowflake of a man you are.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Most female rape victims do hate men, and if not all men, then they hate whole swaths of them, usually the men who are in the same demographic as their rapist. Are you a fucking dick, or what?

? I don't know what you mean by that. But really I wish you the best in life, especially to be free from rape or coercion or gaslighting of any sort, and to be successful in achieving whatever kind of true intimacy you are seeking.

He was always bisexual lol

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (16 children)

No.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

It's impossible to "turn someone gay" unless they already had bisexual attractions in the first place.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Proof?

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Is there anything anyone could say that convince you to turn gay? Apparently you think it's easy to turn people gay.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I muted this topic, why does it keep showing up.

I want no part of your cesspool sub.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

then why the fuck did you post here?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

You do know that people can be conditioned in all sorts of ways to do all sorts of things? What an immature thing to say "it's impossible to turn someone gay"

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

If it's impossible to turn someone gay then what's stopping you from turning straight? Is sexual orientation fixed or not? If it's not fixed, then conversion therapy is valid.

Bisexual guys can be pretty straight-passing and gay-passing. Especially since most people just distinguish between Straight and Gay with nothing in between, so they ignore whatever signs appear that indicate they are Bisexual. I think you'll eventually find that any men who 'originally' were attracted to women and then 'started' being attracted to men... are still are attracted to women. Though their current relationships with men can hide that fact.

I’m an ally, I was part of the original superstraight subreddit, after a day or two of satirizing this woke conversion therapy nonsense lesbians started showing up and showing us what we were posting as satire they had actually been dealing with for years. It was horrifying. I’m a fairly conservative straight man and old enough to remember your struggle to get people to accept that sexuality was innate and not a choice, I even helped convince a lot of fellow conservatives this was the case with a simple question “could you choose to be gay? If it’s a choice anyone could do it” and that seemed to make it click for a lot of people. Anyway S+ was meant to be inclusive, I still don’t quite understand what telling someone they’re valid is supposed to mean but it seemed to make people happy. But homophobia is not in the spirit of the true S+ movement.

There are homophobic people there, but also a lot people who support gay rights or are ambivalent towards us. I’m not going to worry about it.

There are a lot of trolls trying to take s/SuperStraight down. Please report them. I think right now there is no mod, only SAIDIT mods.

There are also a lot of normies drawn to Super Straight and of course some are going to be homophobic. I would ignore them and concentrate on putting out the message that many LGB are Super LGB too.

Whomever eventually takes the mantle of modship for that place will have their hands full, no doubt.

    [–]BEB 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Agreed: s/SuperStraight will be hard to moderate since there are so many different types of people, with differing views on other issues, who want to reclaim that their sexual attraction to others is based on actual sex.

I don't disagree and I don't think it is "homophobia." Trans people didn't magically force their way in and make it "LGBT" without consent. For years, DECADES, "LGB" people allowed this. I'm tired of places like this sub acting like every homosexual and bisexual were always clearly anti-trans and didn't want them around but that's simply not true.

LGBT organizations have a lot to answer for and that's not just because of trans stuff... they are also hateful towards other groups at times (Intersex people, people with mental illnesses, people with disabilities and even sometimes heterosexuals) as well as being corporate profit-driven fronts.

That's what happens when the bulk of the site's userbase are people who have been banned from Reddit (not that all those bans were warranted, but still) you get an overrepresentation of shitty fringe takes

the more free speech the platform is, the more things like homophobia you will see. the best thing to do is go in the comments and point out why they are incorrect. if it seems like more people are rejecting iy in comments than agree, then its a good sign. we were kicked off twitter because of the witchhunts for transphobia

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The first post is correct, more or less. I really don't see the homophobia in it.

The comments on the second post... it is what it is. They aren't doing us any outright harm just by expressing their beliefs. We aren't TRAs, after all.

    [–]Gottmituns 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There is a lot to say from wider observations. Something that certain rightwingers mistook is that this would be an opportunity for a typical rehash of their incessant snapbacks at perceived leftism but SuperS+ grew as an accepting and inclusive bunch, have to ignore them for now since they won't bother to read our commentaries on jurisprudence and the like even if we chained them down. The historical notes of the first post could be good to mull over and retrace, perhaps. The way I saw it when various persuasions started chiming in is that finally there was a communal statement of how off the rails and damaging portions of the ideology were in effect.

There is quite a difference between a few friends kissing and what they call Globohomo. And to warn, before too long you risk losing the broadly right political spectrum's sympathy to the accelerationists. However for now this can and should be resolved, you are capable people and we should find another space to hash it out. There are some good moderators waiting for a true parley, I wager. Keep on here with what you want made public.
