People putting their pronouns in their bio makes me wish i was already dead 10 years ago

It might be useful. You already know that specific person has serious mental issues.

Or you can tell they're either a wokester or at the very least virtue signalling.

Most of the time they're impressionable teens hopping onto a trend they observed among their peers. They saw several viral Tweets saying how putting pronouns is somehow helpful for trans people (the truth is it was actually made for these non-binaries with their unicorn pronouns, prior to that actual trans people never demanded special pronouns) and they do it - mindlessly. And maybe a few of them, these with unicorn pronouns are in need of attention and feeling special. Also probably teens and young adults.

Unless it's on someone's corporate e-mail signature - then it could be that the person is Woke or that the organization is Woke and is forcing them to do it.

I know it's usually seen from the side of men 'becoming' women, which in most instances IS a form of perversion and predation, but as a man I do get fairly pissed off about the lesser-known FtM. The sheer audacity of a female to claim she knows what it's like to be a man, that she has the experiences that come with growing up and going through puberty as a man, the expectations placed upon us and challenges we face is honestly no-less insulting than the other way around. Male and female are not JUST sexes, they are roles and rules, and while I am all-for bucking most gender trends there's certain aspects that are just hard-baked into us as an evolved species. Call them rights-of-passage, call them cultural trends, hell call them responsibilities...but I agree, you can NEVER change your sex, and stating you are the opposite one trivializes the experiences of the biological men and women who lived it and is demeaning as it is ridiculous.

The great Karen of "You're Kiddin', Right?" on YouTube went into this just tonight. Specifically, FtMs who not only want to be men, but who want to be gay men. And how they know nothing of what that's like, to grow up as a gay boy, these people just want to waltz right into the identity and it just doesn't work like that..

"Is she really so shallow she can't see, could it be that these gay men, actually form their community around being gay MEN, being same-sex attracted MEN. Who have a commonality of experience, such as growing up as a gay boy. And, their experiences of homophobia. And their experiences of trying to fit in, of trying to straighten themselves out, of trying to navigate the whole complex of parents, of friends, school, your sense of self. They may come from a religious background, how do you square that with that.. and then you know the fact that they're MEN, not pretend men. And, could it be gay men find commonality in things that don't involve ANY of this shit?" (She means all this gender mumbo-jumbo.)

That bit tarts at 28:30 or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoQCwfELTvk

Some of these people are like half-aware of that problem - the fact they were never growing up with experiences of being raised a boy or a girl. But instead of acknowledging that they cry opression instead. They consider themselves being robbed from these experiences.

The experience of growing up as a straight man has its own rites of passages, including trying to fit in, meeting demands/expectations of strength and authority, trying to make yourself attractive to women (which usually involves a complicated dance of fitting in while standing out in a positive way), etc. It offends me, as a gay man, to hear women claim they know what any of that is like.

[–]hufflepuff-poet 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think alot of these FtM "gay guys" would've been the straight girls who shouted about wanting a gay kid one day or not getting married until gay people could too. They just wanna feel included in the struggle but now their full on appropriating our struggles and movements.

I recently got pissed at something else. I was searching for some pictures of men wearing eyeliner or in some alternative clothes. I am very much in support of not shaming men for liking so called "feminine" things such as wearing makeup or painting nails but I got somehow irrationally pissed when I saw photos of FtM doing this and it was so visible they were just women in make up. It feels like a mockery to this kind of acceptance for the actual men, who have been always raised as men and told what's manly to do and what isn't. Meanwhile FtM was raised as female, look female and really thinks "he" does something incredibly stunning, special and brave by putting makeup.

95% do not pass, at all. Yet they are all groomed by eachother and the handmaidens into believing we cant tell a difference. Even the FtM with a full beard look off.

I love men in eyeliners and alternative clothes. Now they are hounding these men telling them they are trans its disgusting

Ok, off-topic but can I just say, I keep mixing up you two, and thought there was someone named "INeedSomeCoffee" haha.

Also, I agree it is disturbing to see women claim it's "progressive" to pretend to be gay men and to pressure more feminine men into transitioning.

Yes a guy in eyeliner is a beautiful thing. I can't be bothered as a woman to apply makeup or fingernail polish but I love the look on others.

Heterosexual females who identify as gay men will never understand what it's like to grow up as a bi/gay man. I saw a tweet once from an FtM who said that homophobia felt validating. Disgusting..

Jesus! I think that may be one of the most profoundly immoral Tweets I've ever heard. A diseased mind and a black heart.

Why? You're sane and should be alive. I've never understood why marginalized people wish they were dead instead of the people pushing horrid agendas. I'd rather wish death on other people than to wish it upon myself.

I can relate. Sometimes it feels isolating to be the only one seeing why things are wrong nowadays. All my friends support TWAW rethoric and if I mention how that hurts women I would be shunned immediately.

It just makes me feel hopeless that things will ever get better.

[–]dreamgermsbisexual nightmare 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think it’s just the constant frustration with these people and how they have changed things that can be exhausting. It can be really isolating for people, especially lesbians or gnc women, with the constant bombardment from TRA’s demanding they accept dick, telling them they’re actually trans, threatening violence and rape threats to people who disagree, etc. It can make people feel desperate and hopeless.

Primarily these surgeries were a way to soothe the distress of a person diagnosed with transsexualism and no one truly believed someone suddenly turned into the opposite sex this way. It's just a body modification. Now people delude themselves into thinking they're really the sex they feel being...

I was going to make a joke about those emoji pronouns but it just makes me think about how these kids (and some not kids) are so online that they create fantasy languages that can't exist offline and I get sad.

I've wished death many times, but for difficulties in my life/health, not dumb people on social media. In the end, life will end one day, better stick with it and try to improve things, enjoy a little despite all the mess.

I will be a woman even if society didn't treat me like one.

But they think that the way they are treated somehow makes them into something they're really not.

[–]reluctant_commenter 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You know... that's honestly a really sad belief, and at the basis of many people's shame. "Just because people treat me like X, means I am X" that's the kind of dehumanizing stuff that a bully makes a victim believe. Or for many FtMs trying to flee misogyny-- "maybe if people are convinced that I'm a man, then they'll stop treating me like I'm a woman (with misogynistic attitudes and sexual harassment)."

You can't say you're fighting for the abolition of gender and be a non-binary ass-hat that prob have shitty straight sex

This is my issue with these people. By buying into the whole non-binary identity or transgender ideology, you’re merely buying into regressive gender roles. Even worse, you’re trying to insist that people who don’t fall into those rigid stereotypes are actually people of the opposite sex! How is this any different from conservatives or religious zealots? How is telling gender nonconforming women that they are actually non-binary anything but saying “you’re not actually a woman because you don’t behave or look like we think women should behave and look.” How does anyone but teenagers fall for that crap? It’s disgusting, regressive politics disguised as “woke” progressive thought.

Liking vaginas or dicks, or both isnt a fetish or a preference, you disgusting indivuals

Again, a bunch of regressive politics dressed up as progressive thought. We didn’t fight for years for people to see our sexuality as innate and fixed for a bunch of degenerates to come along and tell us we were bigots for our same-sex attraction. Bullying people into questioning their sexuality is NOT woke activism, it’s homophobia. Don’t get even me started on how medical trans-ing is essentially conversation therapy.

theres clowns everywhere and i can't say shit on my social medias whitout being demolished so I'll just vent here

It’s ridiculous that we can’t talk openly about this without being swarmed and doxxed by trans people and their handmaidens. I’m glad for places like this, Ovarit, /r/GenderCritical (even though it’s gone), radical feminists on Tumblr, etc. Each time we talk about this, share our thoughts, and challenge the status quo, more people are exposed to gender critical thought and the LGBAlliance, and more like-minded people find a space they can talk freely. This aggressive approach by the trans community will backfire in the long-run. Things like the #SuperStraight movement proves it. For every person that gets harassed, attacked, silenced, and cancelled, you get dozens of people who are “peaked”. Hang in there <3 I know it’s hard.

I also really don't like how they are making socially fermented perversions that rely on gender stereotypes out to be more natural than sexual orientations which people are predisposed to have since birth.

Sometimes it's good to take a break from social media or go offline for a while to do your own thing in order to gain some perspective. Most people on Earth are not this crazy, but the internet really accentuates the fanatics and loud mouths.

People with pronouns in their bios are very useful. If you are ever in the mood to start a cult, you know exactly who to market it to.

[–]QueenBread 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yours is not an opinion, so you shouldn't ever say "I don't think....". It's not about thinking something; it's a simple scientific objective fact.

[–]ChunkeeguyTeam T*RF Fuck Yeah 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And that motley crew with their mental illnesses, personality disorders, autism and general all round assholery know damn well they can't, which is why they're trying to force us to accept same-gender attraction and deny the existence of biological sex. What's truly disturbing is the kowtowing to their bullshit by so many scientists and academics terrified of being cancelled and losing funding if they don't.

[–]SapphicFox 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Humans can never truly become the opposite sex no matter how many drugs they take or surgeries they have, even the ones that 'pass' are simply poor imitations that will never matched the lived reality.
