Yeah it's just such a bad take lol. The best surgeons can make a neovagina look identical to the point that gynecologists are even fooled.

OK, let's do it again (take 7823): there is no way that a professional who has spent 3-4 years in medical school and then 3 more years in internship/residency and then maybe 3 more years in a gynecology fellowship, who has seen literally 1000s of vaginas by the time they see you, will fail to notice that your "vagina" is slightly too low, has no mucous membrane, no musculature, a tendency to grow hair, and does not lead to a cervix.

Even I know this, and I'm a gay man.

a tendency to grow hair

This is the grossest of all to me for some reason. Whenever I read accounts of the disasters that neo-vaginas are and this comes up, I throw up in my mouth a little.

Same thing for FTMs. They can grow hair on the inside of the urethra of their neopenis. FTM Scott Newgent talks about this in his article for Quillette:

During my own transition, I had seven surgeries. I also had a massive pulmonary embolism, a helicopter life-flight ride, an emergency ambulance ride, a stress-induced heart attack, sepsis, a 17-month recurring infection due to using the wrong skin during a (failed) phalloplasty, 16 rounds of antibiotics, three weeks of daily IV antibiotics, the loss of all my hair, (only partially successful) arm reconstructive surgery, permanent lung and heart damage, a cut bladder, insomnia-induced hallucinations—oh and frequent loss of consciousness due to pain from the hair on the inside of my urethra".

That hair may even encourage the development of urethral lithiasis(kidney stone-like growth).

9 out of 10 gynecologists who graduated from Hollywood Upstairs Medical College can't tell the difference!

I think the issues are their fauxginas are too high. Real vaginas are actually lower than most people realize.

[–][deleted] 57 insightful - 12 fun57 insightful - 11 fun58 insightful - 12 fun -  (6 children)

Of course a bunch of men who think a vagina is just a hole a dick goes in and has never seen one in person can't tell the difference.

Any gynecologist who can't tell the difference should be fired.

[–][deleted] 29 insightful - 4 fun29 insightful - 3 fun30 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Is a gynecologist really the correct specialist for a neovagina anyhow? What, it's between the legs so now it's their responsibility? Not that a gynecologist isn't a highly-trained medical professional, but still. Ya know?

[–][deleted] 36 insightful - 2 fun36 insightful - 1 fun37 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I assume they'd still go to a urologist. A neovagina is nothing like a real one so I don't know what a gynecologist would have to do with it, but I'd not be surprised if trans women intentionally wasted gynecologists' time by making appointments.

[–]RiverSong 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They totally do that. I've seen enough of them talk about their visits to their gynecologist. I always wanted to ask "what exactly are you doing there??? you don't have the parts that need to be looked after!", but I would have been banned for it, and not even gotten an answer that makes sense anyway.

I really, really want to ask my gyno if she has men who identify as woman as her patients. She is VERY blunt and known to be even harsh with the truth sometimes ... but I don't want to find out she is on the kool-aid, and make future appointsments awkward, if she puts me down as an evil terf. :/

They totally do that. I've seen enough of them talk about their visits to their gynecologist.

I think that "transwomen" should be restricted to getting their frankenpussy care exclusively from those who IDENTIFY as gynecologists. As opposed to "cis gynecologists", who have, like, specialist medical training, and DEGREES, and stuff-- not what really counts: "gyno-feelz"! And if the trans say that such people aren't REAL gynos, why, they're hateful bigots guilty of... gynophobia! They OWE these transgynos the validation provided by getting their big ol' men-feet in those stirrups and submitting their stinkpockets to inspection! Otherwise they're saying that transgynos don't EXIST! REEEEE

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm guessing urologist probably is the best bet. But, yeah, I'm sure some AGP chap out there...

[–]milknciggiesLGBToxic 26 insightful - 2 fun26 insightful - 1 fun27 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

There's no way they wouldn't be able to tell. I saw this post a trans woman made, saying she went to a gynecologist and they said "I wouldn't have guessed you were trans!", as to imply that they couldn't tell apart her neovagina from a real one. If the story was true at all, the doctor probably said it before even inspecting her and she took it to twitter or whatever as proof that even doctors can't tell!.
I also saw this other trans woman tiktok, who claimed to have never disclosed she was trans to sexual partners (and encouraged people to do the same) and said no one was able to tell. She was very femenine looking, and at first glance I can say I wouldn't have thought it was a trans. One thing is the makeup, hair, voice training, fake titties, etc but a neovagina could NEVER fool anyone. That is pure delusion that every passing trans female propagates to others. I think they start lying to themselves and others so much to get the validation they're so desperate for that they become completely delusional about reality.

I seriously fail to believe that anyone could fool a gynecologist into thinking a penis was a vagina. It's literally their job to know when something is wrong with a vagina, and it not being a vagina would be high on the list of possible problems

[–]SerpensInferna 48 insightful - 11 fun48 insightful - 10 fun49 insightful - 11 fun -  (8 children)

I'm steadily becoming convinced these people are all virgins who have never interacted with a vagina in real life.

Clearly. Many of them don't even know that the labia minora has wrinkles. I have seen so many dudes mad at their surgeons for doing bottom surgery correctly because they simply had no idea what a vag even looks like.

You'd think these dudes would watch enough porn to notice eventually but I don't even know at this point.

The cognitive dissonance is unbelievable. Lesbians exclusively like and exclusively have pussy. Those are the only two qualifications. Those are going to be the defining framework of lesbian spaces. If you don't meet those qualifications, you're not a fucking lesbian.

[–]soundsituationI myself was once a gay 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You know, I usually code these guys as straight men (which ofc they are) but comments like the one I pasted above really make me think that their defining feature is actually narcissism. I don't think the average heterosexual male interloper would mind discussion of pussy, and in all likelihood would probably enjoy it. For these people on the other hand everything needs to be about reinforcing their delusion.

This should be considered misinformation by Reddit Admins and sub mods. It's like saying there's no difference between the common cold and covid-19... Reddit will suspend people for telling that lie.

Licking a "neovagina" would likely give you e.coli since there's fecal matter inside the hole. A pussy doesn't have fecal matter inside of it.

Any gynecologist who can't tell the difference between a surgically constructed, hairy, bowel tract dick receptacle and a vagina rightfully lacks any and all credibility.

[–]antares 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

AFAIK gynecologists have to play along; otherwise, rejecting a patient based on gender identity would be considered discrimination.

[–]GoValidateYourselfuseful lesbian 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Didn't Jonathan Yaniv screech on Twitter about being rejected by a gynecologist office? He wanted help for his "woman problems" and couldn't understand why a gynecologist wouldn't see him! Tbh gynos probably are nervous about litigious transwomen.

[–]FediNetizenSuper-semi-bisexual (i.e. straight) 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

A gynecologist would have to pretend he doesn't notice? I don't think that's right. Refusing treatment because it's outside of your area of expertise is the responsible thing to do, however "validating" it may or may not be. It certainly isn't discrimination at any rate.

[–]Beryl 17 insightful - 4 fun17 insightful - 3 fun18 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

I have seen enough neovaginas in my life to call this a "fucking lie". They look nothing like a real vagina.

[–]MyLongestJourney 15 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I think they use the term "vagina" to describe vulva. In any case, the fact that the opening is positioned too high for a human female and the fact there are no labia minora should probably inform a medical professional that something is off.

PS. I am kind of sick of seeing the same bullshit repeated over and over and over again in TRAs arguments. And anyone trying to state the truth in most spaces has their comments deleted. You know who is gonna pay? Not the "cis" transition cheerleaders. All the people with GID who will buy the lie and fuck up their bodies forever will.

[–]hufflepuff-poet 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly, and lesbians still won't sleep with a trans male except now after this nonsense is all brought to light, he can't even go back and have a regular straight life with a straight/bi woman because he's mutilated his body and straight and bi women love dick... So much self-hatred in this delusion, I'd feel bad for them but I've heard too much talk of "girldick" to have any empathy left for them post-delusion world.

[–]Cacator 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is such a lie. I understand why they want to perpetuate this lie as well. Who in their right mind would want to have sex with them, if they knew the truth. The neovaginal labia is grafted from scrotum skin. The glans is re-used as the neoclitoris. There's more, but I guess I'm probably preaching to the choir.

What's the difference then? Because natal vaginas are all different too. Smell, shape, appearance, lubrication ability...ect. there is no one standard "cis" package of what a vagina is. There is no one way that a neovagina is either. You seem to simply be saying any vagina on a cis woman is "regular" and any on a transwoman is irregular. I'm not sure how rejecting a vagina just because its on a trans person's body isn't transphobic.

I don't even know how to begin to unpack this.
